Post Botox/Fillers – 3 months later

Attended my cousin’s wedding dinner in Dec and my relatives thought I slimmed down a lot because my face looked so much smaller/sharper!

I told them “No way! I put on 2kg since the last time you guys saw me. The fats are now well hidden and my face look smaller because of botox!”

Yes yes, I was referring to the session which I did at Astique Clinic 3 months ago.

And I can have a prominent chin at the same time thanks to the chin fillers done as well!

Dr. Matthew told me that botox and fillers can last between 6 months to a year and I am hoping that mine can last up to a year because I don’t even have to worry about my face getting fat even though I put on weight. My face always look bloated when I put on weight, and yes, that is even if it is only a kg.

What can I say? Nothing! I am extremely satisfied with the results!

So what can botox/fillers do?

Basically nothing else, except making you happier because you can look so much prettier!

However, do remember to avoid rubbing the areas where you had fillers injection just incase the fillers go out of place! 🙂

I love love love love to try out new make ups or colors!

And have you already seen KATE Spring Summer 2013 Collection in stores yet? I have!!The launch was held few weeks ago and yes, a picture with my favorite bloggers again 🙂

KATE, when we talk about KATE, the first colour that comes to my mind is black. Yes, and so were their flowers. Black and Gold, what a bold and classy combination.

The eyeshadow – Goldish Eyes is retailing at $27 per palette.

As you can see, it comes in 4 shades. I was given the one with blue eye shadow. Each set comes with Soft beige and Deep Brown.

Soft beige – A highlighter for the whole eyelid
Deep brown – Emphasizes the contours of the eyes.

The shimmers creates a look suitable for dinner or date. And do not worry about the colour as it is not as intense as you see in the picture. It was probably due to the lightings that made the gold look darker.

Other than the eye shadows, they have also Shiny Eyelid Liner ($20.50), Mat Black Gel Eyeliner ($25.50), Lash Extension Mascara ($25.50) and Brightening Makeup Base ($20.50).

As the name says, the mascara gave a lengthening effect on your lashes. If you are looking at volumizing, this is definitely not the choice for you. The mascara gives a more natural look than a dramatic look.

KATE Concealing Cover Powder Foundation is available at $34 and its casing at $14.50.

KATE Brightening Makeup Base can hide all the flaws that are easily visible on your face (like your pores and wrinkles *that is if you have any*).

When it comes to eyeliner, pencil eyeliner is DEFINITELY out for me because it smudge way too easily on my face, and I am a regular liquid eyeliner user. Hence, applying gel eyeliner would be a little hard for me but gel eyeliner is famous for staying in place (SMUDGE-FREE) even after a whole day.

Eyeliner need not necessary be applied to the upper eyelid but the bottom eyelid as well.

I am not sure if you can see it in this picture but focus on the left face, bottom eyelid. The liner was only applied halfway instead of the whole stretch because I didn’t want it to be too loud.

Very useful for people who are into the Korean/Japanese look!

A lazy girl’s 2-4 minutes eye make up

How I draw my eyes, not too drama, though not extremely natural, but presentable 🙂

I only spend about 2-3 minutes on the eye (with falsies on) and about 1 minute without falsies.

I know no one likes naggy and wordy post so I’ll keep it short

and show you how do I do my eye make up!

1. I usually draw my brows before applying the eyeliner.
I am currently using Cyber Colors from SASA.

2. Eyeliner done

Do you agree with me that the eyes look kind of tired and sleepy?

That’s where falsies comes into play.

I love long lashes and sometimes I put on fake eye lashes.

In order not to make them look so unnatural, I often curl my real lashes up before putting falsies on.

There are two kinds of curler. The mechanical one or the electrical one.

For me, I am using the electrical one by Panasonic where they make use of heating.

In my opinion, it actually last longer than the normal mechanical curler and easier to use.

Very time saving!! A few minutes was needed to do the trick.

The head would be heated after you on it and it will rotate by itself.

I spend about 1.5 minute for both eyes.

The end product would look something like this.

TA DAH! All ready to stick my falsies on.

5. Glue and stick the falsies

Just 4 – 5 simple steps.

It is this easy. Everyone can have dolly eyes too.

Due to my constant juggle with events, school, family and friends, I rarely have the chance for a proper rest and this made me a victim of dark circles, eye bags and some other problems that will be discussed later.

Hence, I am on a mission to babify and save my skin with The SPA-Lon!

I could see visible results just from the first session! (Pictures as evidence. 100% without photoshop)

On my first session, I was consulted by the senior beautician, Irene, and was told that I have quite a few areas of concern.

1)Dull complexion (due to congested skin, not properly cleanse)
2)Dehydrated Cheeks (due to poor circulations)
3)Dead skin cells (on forehead, chin)
4)Laughing Lines (caused by sagging muscle)
5) Dark circles (caused by late nights)

You know, all along, I thought that the only problem was probably my dehydrated skin because I hate drinking water. I never knew I had so much problems. I guess they are not really visible or major like acne for me to notice and that is probably why I always thought that my skin is pretty good except a little dry.

We all know that with better complexion, comes higher confidence.
And with The SPA-Lon’s help, I can be confident! 🙂

To me, The SPA-Lon is a very comfortable, classy yet relaxing place.
No tension, no noise, just pure relaxation.

This was a corner of their toilet. You can choose to take a quick shower there before starting on the facial. Isn’t it always better to feel clean rather than lying down with a long day sticky body with a clean face post facial?

Before the lady began the whole treatment, she massaged my head, neck and shoulders a little to loosen me up. It was so comfortable that I almost fell asleep.

Cleansing the face.

After cleansing, I was quite afraid of the huge equipment beside me because I have low tolerance for pain. I was told that I would be doing Micro-peeling as one of the procedure and the word peeling hurt me a little. LOL.

In the end, the micro-peeling was probably lesser than an ant’s bite. PHEW.

Here is a picture of the before and after with Left being before and Right being after.

This picture is probably the best evidence for the visible results after 1 treatment. Can you see the glow on the post-treatment picture on the right?! :O

This is just the first session. So you can still see some flaws on the close up picture.

Another point is that my face was ultra smooth. Yes, super was an understand so I used ultra. Even the application of make ups were so smooth and easy for the next few days – a week. Irene also told me that the treatments should be done weekly (for I am not sure how long), to see more effect. So do look forward to my second entry on my second session 🙂

Let me give you more details on the treatments that I did that day:

5 treatments to address the 4 main problems that I have.

1) Dull complexion and Dead Skin Cells
Micro-Peeling Treatment – To cleanse the skin and exfoliated dead skin cells together with removing fine lines on the face with minimal discomfort. Pigmentation and dark spots are also reduced to brighten the skin.

Photo Rejuvenation Treatment – Combined with Micro Peeling Treatment so that you can’t see any post peeling redness. It also helps in increasing the collagen production and regulates melanin levels (for dark spots and pigmentation), resulting in more radiant skin.

2) Laughing Lines/ Aging
Radio Frequency Treatment – Provides an immediate tensor and lifting effect to the skin and has a filler effect to the wrinkles, combining all signs of aging. Sounds painful but nah, it is 100% un-invasive and pain free. It was like massaging my face and nothing else.

3) Dark Circles
Cryocooling Treatment – Done by a soothing, low temperature hand piece. Eye bags and dark circles were visibly reduced and the surface of the eye contour was smoothened. It was very cooollldddd but comfortable.

Eye-Lifting Treatment – The eye contour was lifted by electromagnetic waves as well as smoothening expression lines and crows feet.

I like floral prints. I think they actually make a girl look more demure 🙂

June is going to be an awesome month for me because I’ll be out of the university by the first week of June and I am going to be my one of my cousin’s sisters for her wedding in the second week.

Looking forward to the Hen’s night. This is my first time!

Lots of people around me are getting married/applying for flats. What kind of age group do you think is the most appropriate to be planning all these?

I am really not as young as I look but not of marriage age yet (to me. I don’t wanna be a young mom/wife or anything). I feel that both parties should be financially stable enough to afford a flat before talking about the remaining plans. Paying for the flat shouldn’t be a guy’s thing anymore given that the living expenses in Singapore is no longer the same as the past.

Anyway, my cousin isn’t really that young (not that old either). She’s a few years older than me and they have been dating since….. Can’t remember when, but at least 7-8 years already? I was just thinking about myself. I can’t imagine leaving my parents/dog. I think I would probably cry like shit LOL. And no, would never marry young unless financially stable enough.

Please bless me with better skin and slimmer body contour and jaw.

How I keep my relationship going

I have learnt a lot from this relationship, or rather, this boyfriend.
We haven’t been together for exactly VERY long (only a year plus).

I had my high and low in this relationship. I went from 48kg to 42kg and back to 44kg (now)

HAHAHAHA. I don’t mean the fluctuation of my weight actually.

We had huge quarrels and our fair share of difficult times although we are not exactly together for a decade yet.

Through these downs, we have both learnt to be more understanding and forgiving.
But the most important thing that I had learnt was to be less “sticky”.

I am not kidding, I was VERY sticky. I like to stick to my boyfriend during my free time.
And very often, he will find it annoying because he has his work to do as well.
(Including DOTA and his hobby, fishing :x)

Right now, we don’t really “control” each other much like we seldom ask each other where we are going, who we are with and etc. We would, however, respect each other by filling each other up when needed.

That boils down to “Trust”.

Trust me, this is the most important factor that keeps a relationship going 🙂

Love dies when trust dies.

Too much lately

Events and reviews all over. Yes I know. So now, I am back for some ME-post! 😀

First: Regarding Adeline’s accident. The case is still ongoing and I was like “WHAT?! So the driver’s lawyers failed to attend the court session just because they forgot about it? HOW ON EARTH IS THIS POSSIBLE?” Talk about professionalism.

So how long more should this case drag? Can anyone tell me? My dad and me tried calling the Traffic Police Investigating Officer months back but WOOOHOOO. He didn’t pick up our calls (on different days) and neither did he call us back. Talk about professionalism X2.

I have been crying ALMOST every night and people around me would know how much I miss Adel and I can’t even do anything for her, not even this case. FUCK. I bet no one can really understand how my family feel? Drag.. Drag somemore. I still cannot accept it that the other party’s lawyer FORGOT to turn up. WHAT THE…. It just goes to show how little you care for this case. Of course what, also not your family member die….

Bah, I can’t comment much here because I don’t wanna end up being sued by them for giving my HONEST and HEARTFELT opinions. That’s the world we live in right now. She’s already gone for 15 months and this is still dragging on and on and there is so little our lawyers can do because the other party keeps dragging?

Second: My university life is ending in 2 months time and that brings me back to the first point. The accident happened when I just entered uni not long ago. Now that I am near the end, the case is still somewhat at the starting point only. EXCELLENT 🙂

Alright, this post is not all grumpy actually. I just had to whine about how others don’t give a damn
when my family and lawyers took it so seriously.

Third: I love my dog. He’s the most wonderful present from Adel ever (Yes, Adel again).

He may not be the cutest dog, but he’s definitely the best companion ever. Just like my previous dog.
