Sneak and peek at Heineken!

Leaving for Taiwan for my sister’s trip in less than 10 days time. What I hate about going overseas is that I have to reject all the events during the trip!! Sigh, there are already quite a handful of them coming up šŸ™ Lucky J will be helping me with some when I am away. There will be a men’s event as well, hope he benefits from it! Hehe.

Last Friday, William brought us to Heineken’s party. We traveled to the future there. J looked so cute in the pictures from that night. BAHAHAHA. To make him even cuter, I forced him to buy some coloured lenses (that I am currently wearing ow) from our JB trip yesterday. I seriously think that we look even similar now. My JB trip will be up in the next entry.

Even in group photo, we are still in our own fantasy world.

Had to leave early because I had work the next day. Though short, but great catch up with the big boys.

Next entry will be up very very soon!

Illumination Beach Party @ Sentosa

We had one hell of a crazy night yesterday! I went to Illumi Nation Beach Party at Siloso beach with J after work. It is Asia’s first glow-in-the-dark paint party!!

As I didn’t want to dirty my camera during the splash, the photos we took were mostly from William who was super duper drunk!! HAHA. I love how he always strip himself naked when he’s high!

The ground was pretty huge because there was a lot of different booths from photo taking, to splashing of neon paint, body art, drinks, snacks and more.

So glad that we were at the VIP area where we were served free flow of drinks and snacks. Thank you Illumination and WOM!

Go check out the pictures using the #becomethelight and #illuminationsg in instagram! Every sure had a lot of fun!

After we settled down, we went for the splash zone immediately! And got ourself drunk later on….

J and me got really really colorful so we threw away our clothes after our shower at the beach’s toilet.

Life is indeed colorful with YOU.

Kevin, William’s biological brother who certainly looks like him a lot!

It sure is fun to party with this bunch of people!!

CHEERS!!

We became the light at the end and I hope to be back again next year!!

What a wild evening. Now I need to rest for the upcoming weekends!! :)) WOOOHOOOOO!!!

ILLUMI NATION ROCK MY WORLD LAST NIGHT, literally.

SK-II Magic Ring Test

We never really had a skin analysis done before and we don’t know how good/bad our skin is. We took the opportunity to do the Magic Ring Test at the SK-II event last month!

Magic Ring Test is free. Visit them at their counters for an analysis too.

My skin age is only 18 (or 19, I can’t remember). YAYYYYYYYYY.

I think I need to take care of the spots (not visible yet but prone to spots according to the chart) most. Have to focus on that rather than firming. I tend to focus on firming more cause I don’t want saggy skin. Trust me. I am not as young as I look!

Look at all the areasĀ that the machine has identified. I need to prevent this from happening!! šŸ™

The test was done even before J had his first facial in his life.

And we seems to have the same problem! LOL. Speak of the similarities we have…

He was also introduced to SK-II Men range which he had been using diligently for the next few days after the analysis. Not bad!

With my Baby Xinyi~

All the MFP ladies~

Thank you SK-II for the hospitality and generosity! I hope the skin age will be 16 the next time I visit for a test again!!

Couple Day Out #jamesnmaybel

As mentioned, J and me meet 30 out of 31 days a month so we are quite “bored” of the usual dates in Singapore. Other than catching a movie, shopping, cafe hopping, I arranged a special date for us over one of the weekends!

His first ever facial was done last month for a review so I arranged a Glycolic Chemical Peel for us…

Now, why chemical peel instead of another facial?

To me… A facial can “cleanse” the skin and remove unwanted debris and dirt. But a chemical peel can improve the skin’s appearance by peeling off the first layer of the skin. New skin will grow out smoother and less wrinkled.

As J had some minimal scars which facial will not be able to remove, I was hoping for Chemical Peel to help as they can improve the appearance of the very mild scars by evening them out.

(Source: http://www.dermatologynwhouston.com)

Chemical Peels are non-invasive and THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO DOWNTIME for the peel which we did Halley Medical Aesthetics (yes yes, my skin clinic!). The NO DOWNTIME part is very important because J can’t take anything with downtime for more than 3-5 days due to his work.

Watch our Vlog below to find out more. (I had no base make up. Only sunblock and eye make up in the video)

The after-effect was amazing. We had very very very very radiant skin after the peel. We could see the difference instantly!

His skin started to peel a day later while mine only started 3 days later (I think I have retarded skin -.-). Although Dr. Tan told me that it is normal to peel a little, I was still worried so I went to google for more information. EverywhereĀ said that it is common for the skin to peel so that the new skin will resurface. PHEWWW~

Say HI to pig nose.

After our session,Ā I bumped into my friend who went for the consultation for fillers and ultherapy!!!! SMALL WORLD INDEED!! I had no idea what ultherapy was until I googled it. Sounds amazing! I am consideringĀ if I should do it for the smile lines…. I have 2 wedding dinners in Dec and I am going to be a bridesmaids twice….. Anything to make me look good till then (forever)…

Well, whatever it is, when in love, LOOK GOOD TOGETHER!

Love you and your pig nose James! :X

Crabtree & Evelyn Damask Rose

Yet another pretty collection from Crabtree & Evelyn.

Damask Rose Everyday Skincare Collection features sensorial products with botanical-based formulas that make everyday skincare an appealing ritual.

The products are formulated with natural ingredients and they are chosen because they can deeply moisturize and rejuvenate even dry and sensitive skin. Having said that, they have products for people who have combination/oily skin too.

Ingredients:

French Damask Rose – Intensely moisturizing and improves texture and tone. Contains Vitamin C.

Rose of Jericho – Brings immediate and long lasting hydration. Have the ability to survive extreme dehydration.

Hollyhock – Draws moisture into the skin, helping to plump and lift the complexion. Has anti-inflammatory and moisturizing properties.

Aureobasidium Pullulans – Anti-microbial properties, tighten pores and firm the skin.

Brought J to the event with me so that he can know more about the products cause we always share skincare products. I think I treat his skin better than mine!

They have 3 products in the cleansing range.

– Comforting Cleansing Balm ($30)
– Softening Cleansing oil & makeup remover ($28)
– Freshening Cleansing Lotion ($28)

I find the comforting cleansing balm unique because how many brands have actually come up with a cleanser in the form of a balm?

All you need is a small amount and the balm will melt with the warmth of the skin, gently lifting away impurities while soothing, softening and deeply moisturizing. The only minus point is that it can’t remove eye makeup but it helps to repair and rejuvenate the skin as you cleanse.

For the moisture range, they have:

Hydrating Day Lotion ($50)
Daily SPF45 PA+++ Lotion ($45)
Nourishing Night Cream ($55)

The Daily SPF45 PA+++ is a two in one thing. The sunblock as well as the moisturizer. Wooot! How time saving!

Other products in Damask Rose Collection includes the Toner – Relaxing Micellar Water, Purifying Toning Lotion and Masks – Soothing moisture mask and Restoring Hydration Mask.

I was a little sold when the mask said soothing because too many brands only concentrate on either the oily or dehydrated skin. Sometimes all we ever need after a long day outside is just a soothing mask before sleep.

With such a pretty launch, comes a table of pretty food.

I am so going to start on this skincare regime as soon as I finish my current products.

Hold on for a review!!

Lost without you (maybe)

I think we are so crazily in love that either one of us feel lost when one is away. He’s going to Australia for a holiday next week and I am heading over to Taiwan in Oct. With a beauty blogger as his girlfriend, I’ll be packing a bag of facial products for him to bring over – to take care of his dehydrated skin for the cold weather. I don’t want a flaky boyfriend when he is back after 8 days….

True enough, I am thankful for having him in my life for the past few months. We had another huge quarrel last week but he kept reasoning even though I gave him all the shit and attitude. I can get really grumpy and say nasty stuffs non stop and I don’t think with my brain when I am mad.

We didn’t solve the issue that very night. A girl (not exactly a girl since she is in her 30s; his ex colleague, they had something going on in the past) bumped into us at VIVO and shouted his name (she probably wanted the entire patrons in VIVO to hear her, I don’t know but it was HELL embarrassing) and took the opportunity to ask him to party and hangout.

I know she isn’t faithful to her boyfriend, but to come in-between us when we were quarreling? I thought people who are religious would be even more aware of ‘sins’ and ‘faithful’ but all she know might only be ‘shame’ -.- Of course, James did not leave with her enough though I made the way home myself.

You guys might think that I am ranting over here, yup, I am, I am not overly possessive or what but I just felt not respected by that aunty -.-

I am also glad that he is quite into my blog now that there are sponsors for him too. A men fragrance was recently sent to me for review from Lacoste so I supposed it was for him! First the ColorRun, then the facial at Qi Mantra and next the fragrance, I hope for more to come! (Everything that comes along is a bonus and I thank god for that :D)

Lastly, here’s a BRO FIST for people who think we look alike!
