Review: Clio Lipnicure

I am very excited about Lipnicure and I have been eyeing these lip colors like crazy in Watsons whenever I enter the store.

You know what’s eye-catching? It is how the lip colors look like in the bottle. Trust me, they never fail to catch my attention.

Look at the bottles!!

From left to right:

– Lipnicure Top Coat ($15.90)
– Lipnicure Colour #3 Crime Pink ($19.90)
– Lipnicure Colour #7 Tension Red ($19.90)
– Lip primer ($14.90)

As the names suggest, it is just like applying nail polishes! Lipnicure concept come from the idea of manicure for the lips.

For the nails, you would apple the primer/base coat first, followed by 2 layers of nail color and then finish it with the top coat for an extra shine.

THE SAME FOR THIS (except that you don’t have to double coat the colors for this).

Clip Virgin Kiss Lip Primer moisturizes chapped smackers and hides visible lip lines as it contains argan oil to strengthen the skin barrier function. Crazy lips aren’t sexy so please don’t leave the primer out before you apply the color.

The colors are quite matte when there is no base coat. Only one coat was applied in the picture below.

Check out the full blast of color with just one swipe!!! Look at that sweet pink and fire engine red. Gosh. I can’t even….

The thing about this is you can kill 2 birds with one stone.

You can have it either matte or glossy.

P/S: Let the color dry for 30 seconds before you apply the topcoat so it wouldn’t stain the brush of your topcoat.

My results:

Without topcoat, it gives off a dry and matte feel.

And with a little bit of top coat added, the lips looked wetter yet without leaving any sticky feel. GOOD!

As the color is VERY VERY long lasting, I would suggest you to use an eye or a lip makeup remover to remove the colors. Normal gentle cleansing water wouldn’t work too well.

I love how long lasting it is, no matter how I eat or drink, the color still remains vibrant and strong. My first touch up was about 7 hours later.

I am also pretty attracted to their Colour #5 Revenge Pink.

The Clip Virgin Kiss Lipnicure range is available at selected Watsons stores since last Nov.

Be sure to go check them out!

Lip colour – Laneige

My motto for make up is to never leave house without a lipstick in my bag.

Not sure about you, but I find lip stains as an essential rather than eyeliners; not that I can leave house without the eyes drawn.

Current love is from Laneige Serum Intense Lipstick – LR05 Flash Pink.
I love how it keeps my lips moisturized and coloured at the same time.

Remember, nobody wants to kiss cracked or peeling lips.

Drink sufficient water and keep them moisturized!
