Hada Labo – Unlock the skin’s secret

Hada Labo’s toner has an improved formula!! A PR event was held last week and Chloe, Michelle Chia and me had to be there throughout. Although I had to take leave for the event but it is pretty worth it πŸ™‚

We had to go up to the stage for interviews and all….

Do you also know that Jun Ji-Hyun is the new international Hada Labo ambassador?! WOW

Besides that, they are also introducing a new Hada Labo Lotion.

The new Hada Labo Lotion will bring your skin to a new level of hydration, featuring advanced new generation of 4 interlocked Hyaluronic acids.

– Large-sized Hyaluronic Acid
– Medium-sized Hyaluronic Acid
– Super Hyaluronic Acid
– Nano Hyaluronic Acid

Each acid provides plays a crucial role in making sure the skin’s hydration level stays in continuous supercharged mode.

Summary:

The large-sized fights against trans-epidermal water loss by forming an ‘umbrella’ on the skin to create a thick moisture layer that also continuously diffuse huge amount of water into top layer of skin.

Medium-sized possess the water holding power of typical HA, and bring in even more hydration.

Super HA, which is layered in the middle skin layer fills up the skin with 2 times as much water. Working with the medium-sized HA, they replenish moisture loss and pump up water into the skin.

The Nano HA is 1/20th sized of a regular HA. It has tremendous capability to penetrate deepest into skin beyond epidermis. It stores tremendous amount of water deep in skin by building up a huge moisture reserve.

With Singapore being such a warm and humid country, people are tend to have either dry or very oily skin. So a lot of moisturizers would be needed to keep the skin healthy.

When the skin is fully hydrated, your skin would also be able to absorb the rest of the skincare well.

I had been using the lotion before it was even available for sale in the market. My review is that the texture is lighter than the previous hydrating lotion and it gets absorbed really really quickly as well. My skin also feel even more hydrated!

I wake up to good skin day every morning!
(Although I get a pimple or two when period is near).

After all the media sessions, I went to mingle with the bloggers at the blogger session. It is so nice to see familiar faces!!

It was sooooo cute when I was presented with a poster of myself when I was about to leave. This poster will be hanged in my living room for sure!! *such self obsession* LOL. It sure brings back good memories :))))

As the event was held in Ocean Restaurant in RWS, it was very difficult to capture nice pictures without DSLR πŸ™

So here’s a clearer picture of me with the bouquet of lovely roses from Hada Labo!! πŸ™‚

And since I was on leave, I waited for J to off work in the evening before we head off for a dinner date. Hehe.

Lastly, well-hydrated skin becomes smooth, dewy-radiant and DOINK DOINK!

Hada Labo for Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is coming and no one ever said that you have to get something expensive for your mother. Spending more doesn’t mean that you are giving her the best.

A gift can be simple, yet practical.

Mother’s Day 2014 – Maybeline Sim – Hada Labo Ambassador.

What have I decided to give my mom?

.

.

What else can I get for the dearest mother who never once complain even though she has to juggle between home and work?

Hada Labo Retinol Range! The lifting and firming rage features a technology called Insta-3D Moisture-Lock Technology.

The 4 types of Hyaluronic acid are linked together to form a 3D moisture net that wraps the skin to lock in for continuous hydration. Her mother is no longer young and hydration is extremely important for her.

The range is also enriched with two key anti-aging ingredients:Β Retinol Vitamin A Derivative and Hydrolyzed Collagen.

I love love love love their masks a lot and has probably already finish 6-7 boxes of them. Each box contains 4 pieces of mask. And this meant that I am hitting the 30th piece of mask from Hada Labo already!!

The Vitamin A in the mask helps to improve skin’s elasticity and refine skin to regain its youthful radiance. Hydrolyzed collagen helps to promote skin’s firmness.

Suitable for sensitive skin as well as the masks are free from fragrances, mineral oil, alcohol and colorant. Masking is a way of relaxing oneself after a long day of tedious work. Exactly what a mom needs!

Our skin also sag as we age. The nourishing cream from Hada Labo Retinol helps to life and firm up skin. This is to be used twice a day after applying lotion/essence.

A whole tub of awesomeness!!

My mom is currently using the same Hada Labo SHA lotion as me.

Now, she has Retinol Lifting + Firming lotion and milk!

Their lotions instantly replenish moisture to hydrate skin from within. Having said that, the retinol range also helps smoothen fine lines and wrinkles leaving the skin bouncy and soft! *Doink doink*

I love Hada Labo because of it’s price range and effectiveness. Good stuffs may not necessary be expensive and affordable stuffs may also help you achieve good results.

Mom are ladies, and ladies are vain pots. What can be a better Mother’s Day gift than this? I am so sure my Mom is so going to love this!!

You can find the range in any leading pharmacies!

Don’t thank me for the idea. Thank Hada Labo instead!

Review will be up separately after the verdict from my mom πŸ™‚

My skincare regime

CNY is over (for me) and Valentines’ Day is next.

How good do you want to look on Valentines’ Day is pretty much dependent on how good the skin is. You need good clear skin to complete the whole look other than just putting make up on. And this starts from the very basic – hydrating your skin, feeding your skin well.

I have very basic skincare routine and this is definitely for people who are as lazy as me!

Morning:
1. Lotion – Hada Labo Super HA Hydrating Lotion
2. Super Hyaluronic Acid – Hada Labo Moist Essence EX
3. Hada Labo UV

I always start my day by cleansing the face. Wash, tone, moisturizer and then sun block! It is very important to apply the lotion in the morning as it helps to balance the pH of your skin and prepares it for moisturizing.

Night:
1. Lotion – Hada Labo Super HA Hydrating Lotion
2. Super Hyaluronic Acid – Hada Labo Moist Essence EX
3. Hada Labo SHA Hydrating Mask (one to two times a week)

This Hada Labo SHA Hydrating Essence is a Winner of COSMO Beauty Grand Prix 2012! It was also awarded in 2013 by her world Beauty.

I always wake up to good skin day after I started using this (not to mention about an allergy outbreak last month. My skin had an allergy reaction to other products because I forgot to bring my skincare products out for a staycation).

You may feel that I am exaggerating or saying good stuffs about these products because I am the ambassador for Hada Labo. I am very proud to be the ambassador for the brand, but I wouldn’t lie and say the products are good just because of that. I am proud to be the ambassador because their products are really good. Tested and proven by yours truly πŸ™‚

You don’t need expensive or many products to achieve good skin.

Try Hada Labo! I am all prepared for Valentines’ Day.

Are you? πŸ™‚

3 Hada Labo New All-in-1 Lotion giveaway

So now, my secret to good skin is no longer a secret – Hada Labo!

I liked Hada Labo even way before I became their ambassador, so everything you see/read here is purely from the bottom of my heart but not because I am their ambassador, so I have to say only the good stuffs.

So you guys like my skin and have long heard about Hada Labo.

But what about the products that I use? I use a lot of products from Hada Labo but my all time favourite was their lotion until they came out with the New All-in-1 lotion – the one you saw in the TVC.

I am already at my N-th bottle and the marking you see below is how much I have left right now. I can give you more than enough reasons on why you should give it a try.

Easy application, non-sticky/oily and convenient.

I swear I am one of the laziest girl alive. I don’t like to slap the face with a lot of different products every night before I sleep or every morning before I put on any makeup. Basically, I don’t like to have my face all clogged up or anything because the make up can get really cakey after hours. I prefer to keep things neat and simple.

The lotion has a watery texture. It is like feeding your skin with the right water. Just like gulping down a can of 100 plus after a marathon!

This amazing bottle here acts as a Hydrating Lotion, Double cleanser and Essence Booster.

I can jolly well skip quite a few steps in my skincare regime with this lotion.

Double cleansing also meant that my skill will be oil and dirt free. Cleansing is often associated with drier skin due to harsh chemical contents but trust me, this lotion not only cleanse but also provides moisture for the skin.

Basically, toners might dry the skin but for this case, NO.

One drop locks up an ocean! – That was the thing which caught my attention few years ago!

I can’t stop stressing on how dehydrated my skin was. But with the essence booster and hydrating lotion formula, I love how bouncy my skin is right now. Nothing can make a girl even happier than good skin/hair days right? (other than love and family).

Going to be feeling clean and fresh is probably one of the best feeling before sleep.

And then waking up with clear and bouncy skin the next morning!

Other than the All-in-1 lotion, I am also currently using the Hada Labo SHA Hydrating Face Wash twice a day.

Once in the morning after I got off the bed and another time before I sleep/applying the lotion.

PSST ladies, hydration is extremely important. Do a comparison between a dry sponge and a wet sponge.

Dry sponge – rough, hard, tears easily
Wet sponge – smoother, soft and theres elasticity.

Nuff said, you should try the products out yourselves to determine if it really work wonders.

And now, because Christmas is just around the corner…….

I have 3 bottles of the Hada Labo New All-in-1 Lotion and…..

a cute mini traveller set to give away!!

I am a proud ambassador of Hada Labo!

Some of you may have already seen the Television Commercial on Channel 8 or 5. Yeap, I am the new Hada Labo girl and I am extremely proud to be the ambassador of my favourite skincare brand! Not everyone gets to be the ambassador of their favorite brand right? So yes, you could guess my feeling when I was informed that I was selected.

1 drop locks an ocean. Doink Doink!

This is where I talk about the behind the scenes of the entire TVC.

I have no experience in anything like talking infront of the camera nor speech and drama. It was a very difficult task for me because I have stage fright and I was so scared that I might mess up the whole thing.

Thankfully and gratefully, everyone was very patience in guiding me and tolerating my countless NGs. Lol.

Meet the wonderful people from Hada Labo (Mentholatum Singapore). They were the people who were with me throughout and constantly advising me on the scripts and actions.

I had to report at 7am for the hair and makeup and had a long long day till 7pm. It was a very nice experience and definitely, one of the best.

For someone who had no experience like me, even walking in to the cafe scene was hard. LOL.

And this picture, it seemed that I was totally memerized by his eyes. No? HAHAHAHA. Ken was actually just giving me some instructions and telling me about the next scene.

Where are your eyes, Ken?!

I love the entire look Mark gave me, the eyes, the brows and everything. I had always thought that the makeups applied for people who were on-screen were thick until I met Mark.

With Charmaine again. She’s so pretty, isn’t she?!

My second scene was me looking out of the window until Chloe praised my skin. Lol!

Touch up on the hair, the face, the hair, the face and the hair again. It was a common routine for me every 20-30 minutes. The curls wouldn’t say still!

I was also feeling stress at one point of time because I had severe tongue tied and couldn’t even say a simple sentence properly.

It was fun doing this scene because Ken hid in a corner. And when I turned my head up, he would be there to give me a huge smile just so that I can smile brighter. Lol!!

And then Tadah!! Chloe came in. She is extremely cute and bubbly. I really enjoy working with her. That was only the second time that we had met (once, at the screen call), and our chemistry was fairly good. There was no awkwardness. I was shy, but her liveliness made things so much better.

She had short hair and the hair was actually an extension. I personally like her with long hair. She has this very Japanese look.

Okay, I did that face on purpose.

Done with all my scenes and it was time for me to take some selfies. I wanna wake up to this look everyday!

Stay tuned for other related behind the scenes and I will also be sharing with you my favourite skincare products that I am currently using! πŸ™‚

Do you have sensitive skin? Rescue is here!

People who suffer from sensitive skin condition are usually selective in their skincare products to ensure that the products do not contain ingredients that can cause irritation to the skin.

Hada Labo has a new ES series which contains Zinc, which has oil control proterties.

Hyaluronic Acid + Zinc = Hydration + Oil control.

The product is also fragrance free, colorant free, mineral oil free, preservatives free and alcohol fee. Not sure if many of you know that products that contains alcohol, fragrance, colorant and such are usually not suitable for people with sensitive skin.

Products with such ingredients can cause breakouts, rashes or even redness when they come in contact with the skin.

The es series is not just formulated using 5 additive-free ingredients but it also contains its signature ingredient, Nano Hyaluronic Acid and now added with Zinc which functions in three ways: penetrate, hydrate and repair.

Nano Hyaluronic Acid which has fine molecules and is able to penetrate deep into the inner layers of stratum corneum for deep hydration and to retain moisture in the skin. With Nano Hyaluronic Acid, skin will become remarkably smooth, soft and supple. While Zinc has restorative properties that is able to control and soothe skin inflammation as well as reduce skin irritations.

As you can see, the product is totally light and colourless. It look just like the water you find running out of your tap, and yes, it’s that light/mild too. It gets absorbed easily.

Recommended for people with dry to normal skin but not for oily skin. Despite the oil control properties, I feel that it is still insufficient for people with oily skin.

The ES Lotion is available only in 170ml bottle at $25.90
