Brunching in at MEDZS

Sponsored

Yet another delightful meal with the boy. Why delightful? Because I love brunch!! My focus on brunch is always the eggs. I can’t do brunch without eggs.

So guess where did we visit this time round?

Does the background and swing look familiar? YUP. It’s the CBD area. I am very jealous of you people who work at CBD area because they have takeaway brunch on display at 50% off for their bistro at Clifford Centre (Raffles Place MRT) from now till 31st March. Let me work out some maths for you later and you will know why.

If you wanna dine in (or takeaway), you can also enjoy free coffee with any breakfast item. Cheapppppp?!

Take a look at what they have to offer. All the prices are before discount

Viennoiserie Mini Croissants (Cold Display):
– Prawn & Sesame Dressing – $3.90
– Lemonade Crab Meat Mayo – $4.90
– Pork Ham & Cheese – $3.90
– Turkish-spiced Chicken – $3.90
– Home-made Cured Salmon – $3.90

Let me just zoom in to my favourite – Lemonade Crab Meat Mayo. Judge yourself and ask if the ingredients are compromised even when the displays are at 50% off for takeaway. It tasted a little weird because lemon are refreshing while crab meat mayo is a little on the heavy side but it just gets better and you want more and more.

I actually quite like the Pork Ham & Cheese too but they were not as outstanding as the Crab Meat Mayo!

That was my favourite croissants but definitely not my favourite item in the menu because you can’t find eggs in the fillings.

MY ULTIMATE EGGS. THEY ARE HERE. AND WHO WOULD EVEN REALIZE THAT SCRAMBLE EGGS CAN BE THAT CHEAP FOR BRUNCH!!

Scramble Eggs with Chicken Sausage, Mushroom and Bacon ($5.90)

I preferred this than the scramble eggs (coming up next) later because I like the tinge of mushroom and bacon. It haves the scramble egg a more fulfilling taste. I ordered a second helping all to myself! Not sure if they have butter in the eggs but I thought I tasted butter (in a good way though).

Egg White Scramble with Smoked Salmon Graviax ($4.90)

James prefer this because they are all egg white, PROTEINS. Health conscious or body builder can always go for this. You can eat all the eggs without having to worry about the cholesterol!

This is where the Mathematics comes in. Let’s take 50% off the Egg White Scramble with Smoked Salmon Graviax… soooo, only $2.45? YUP! Only that. But do remember to add in GST.  Remember, you can get a cup of coffee for free with any breakfast item!!! Tell me, Where can you find such awesome prices?

You can also find Artisan Sandwiches & Baguette or even French Bread Pizza too.

Artisan Sandwiches & Baguette:
– Laugen Brotchen with Pork Bierschinken & Red Cheddar Cheese (German)
– Beef Pastrami with Rustic Baguette (French)
– Olive Ciabatta with Prosciutto & Veal Paprika Lyoner Ham (Italian)
– Italian Panini Bread with Tomato Capresse & Buffalo Mozzarella (Italian)

French Bread Pizza – Stone Oven Olive Bread (traditional) in a french pizza style:
– Stuffed Cheesy Pull-apart Bread with Parsley & Basil
– Magherita (Buffolo Mozzarella Cheese, Tomato & Basil)
– Beef Pepperoni Salami. Spicy Chorizo & Olives –
– Honey Baked Ham & Roasted Pineapple
– Pesto Herbs & White Mushroom Cream
– Al Fruiti De Mare (Prawn, Tuna & Crab)

I did not managed to give everything a try because I was too busy indulging in the eggs but I remember James saying he love the Al Fruiti De Mare French Bread Pizza was it contains a medley of prawn, tuna and crab.

And on Saturdays, MEDZS will extend their breakfast menu to an all-day dining one. Yoohooohoooo! Now you know where to visit for brunch on Saturday!!

All day brunch at MEDZS

You should be glad… No… rather, I should be glad.

I can wake up late on weekends and still make it for brunch because MEDZS is introducing their new brunch menu.

Now, what is brunch without eggs?

I was literally jumping for joy when I knew that I was going to taste all the different kind of breakfast set with EGGS.

Here comes Bouncy Benedict ($14.90) served with rosti.

Everyone was going for the egg when this set was served.

Look at that yolk, it’s oozing out!

Stacked Brunch Torte ($14.90), was a generously served brunch. I find this set value for money because it is able to feed two. The insides are filled with egg, bell peppers, cheese, spinach and ham. A unique twist of combination.

My personal favourite is Le Jolly Monsieur ($13.90).

Having tried all the eggs of the different sets, the scramble eggs tasted the best. I like having eggs, cheese and ham for breakfast and Le Jolly Monsieur has all three of them inside on top of the bacon and bratwurst.

Slurrpppppps!

Toasty Tortilla ($14.90), with eggs, served in another way. Still served with scramble eggs, but also with the Spanish omelette. There are a lot of onions in the omelette, so sweet onions lover, you would probably love this.

Poseidon’s Wrap ($14.90), served with prawn, fish, squid, tomato, lettuce, scramble egg, tzatziki and Greek salad.

Egg-crowned Shashouka ($14.90), served with lamb kefta, tomatoes, eggs tagine and garlic toast.

Round off your delightful meal with a colourful dessert.

A Berry Pancake Gala (S$12.90) features fluffy pancakes crowned with fresh berries as well as summer berries! You can also choose to sweeten the enjoyment with a choice of maple, mango, vanilla or strawberry sauce.

There are other sets that are waiting for you at the restaurant. Experience one of the largest range of brunch items, with prices from just $12.90 to $14.90.

MEDZS has set out to whip up dishes that are hearty and affordable. The dishes are priced affordably so that you do not have to worry about burning a hole in your pocket even if you decide to pamper yourself every weekend.

New weekend Changi Brunch Menu

Azur brings together the best of the East and West for a refreshed menu of the popular Weekend Changi Brunch featuring local and international cuisine.

The Weekend Changi Brunch also includes all time local favorites featuring Prawn Noodles from the Local Delights Noodle Bar with sweet and juicy prawns in a flavoursome broth, fluffy Ham Chim Peng with three delicious fillings – Sesame, Peanut or Loutus Paste and fragrant Roasted Chicken served with tangy homemade chilli sauce.

The prawn noodles has a little tinge of spiciness which I personally quite like it because I realized that most authentic prawn noodles has this little tinge too!

They are served in little portions in the white mug below so that you can keep your tummy for other food.

A burst of Asian and Western flavour

Asian dishes like Chicken Malai Kebab and Nasi Briyani from the Indian Cuisine Claypots, succulents Braised “Dong Po” Pork Belly and Kong Bak Pao, Wok Fried Golden Crabmeat Fried Frice and Steam Fish Fillet with Dried Shrimp Sambal and Caramelized onions.

Highlight highlight! So juicy!

This is not Har Gao, it’s scallop dumping :O

You can also make your own rojak! Yay. Lesser of pineapple and more of you tiao pleaseeee.

For a taste of west….. They have German Sausage with Juniper berry sauerkraut and Beef Jus from the Butcher’s Carving station, Maked Mussels with aioli Herbs, Oven Roasted Chicken with Green Pepper Jus and Pan Seared Australian Beef Steak with Black Pepper Cream Sauce.

My favourite was the egg section. You can choose sunny side up, scramble, omelette, or poached and pick any fillings of your choice.

I had 2 servings of Ham Scrambled. All Sims are egg lovers!! Carrie and David (Nadia’s husband), are Sim too and we are huge lovers of eggs. It’s proven! 😀

Mushroom Omelette.

And the seafood are quite fresh too! They had crayfish, prawns, crabs and etc as well. So seafood lovers, take note of this!

What’s best to end an indulgent meal?

Desserts!!!

They have Durian Profiteroles, Creme Brulee, Miniature Pastries, Dessert in Mini Shooter Glasses and Chocolate Walnut Brownies.

But I guess what caught my attention most was making my own Ice Kachange and pile on my favourite condiments, syrups and carnation milk.

Looking at this Mango Mousse Cake. *Slurps*
