New Balance 580 Sneakers Pop Up Store

To celebrate New Balance 580’s 20th Anniversary, the outlet at *Scape is currently converted into a one-of-a-kind pop up gallery.

The pop up store will be there from now to 17 July and you will be able to see the evolution of 580.

The gallery will also house a special exhibition of past limited edition collaborations with global sneaker stores, retailers and fashion labels. These include Mita Sneakers, Stussy, HECTIC, Undefeated, Colette, Wings + Horns, Bait, Packer Shoes, and New Era. The pop-up gallery will see exclusive launches of limited edition 580’s, as well as special 580 merchandise.

Fans will also receive a special edition pair 3D printed lace locks with every purchase of the 580 at the pop-up gallery on 11th June.

It was truly an eye opener for the both of us because we are fans of sneakers. Even though we have more than ten pairs of new balance at home, you won’t be able to find a pair of 580 in our shoe cabinet. Hence, this is a great opportunity for us to test the comfort and design of the model.

You will be surprised to know that even though the shoes are of the same model, the design can varies from lifestyle to light training and price varies from $149 to $229.

After New Balance collaborated with Mita Sneakers, a Japanese brand, it became a favourite among sneaker lovers. This year, the brands are collaborating again on New Balance MRT580. Only 24 pairs will be available in Singapore at the price of $229. Do visit the store at *Scape, #02-15 from 11am to 9.30pm daily from now till 17 July.

Mitju Tick Tack Shoes

Another pair of flats to my shoe cabinet! A girl can never have too many shoes!

But Mitju now enables you to just own one par of flats and match it with different shoe accessories and turn them in different designs for different occasion.

The shoes that I am talking about is none other than the fun Tick Tack Shoes that Mitju has recently launched. The collection is inspired from the Japanese.

The fun, and chic shoes has a lot of different accessories from plain to blings with ribbons and bows being the majority. I picked 2 bows for myself.

Prior to picking the accessories, you gotta pick your material choice – Patent, Leather or Suede. I went for the patent one because I don’t want them to get dirty within a few months. I prefer patent shoes because you can just clean them with a piece of tissue.

Each pair of shoe is priced at $26.90 while the prices of the accessories range from $6.90 to $14.90.

Now, time to customize my very first pair of Tick Tack…

together with the rest….

My personal tick tack stylist, Mr. James.

We were quick with our decisions and settled for the bows – Plain and Blings.

I wore the flats with the plain cream bow and thought that they had the Ted Baker feel~ They are so versatile that I can just bring the accessories out (instead of another pair of shoes) if I have a picnic in the afternoon and a wedding dinner at night.

And when I am sick of the shoes (well, women always complain of not having enough shoes!), I can just buy the accessories instead of new shoes to burst the shoe cabinet.

The Tick Tack Shoes are only available at Mitju ION Orchard and Plaza Singapura for now.

You can make your purchases online via www.mitjuonline.com at the later part of Aug this year.

Thank you Mitju for the generosity!

Dermal Therapy Blistop – Your solution to high heels!

I hate it when I am all dressed up but was contemplating if I should wear the desired pair of heels out or not as I have this issue with walking in heels.

I am pretty certain that it is not because of the shoe brand or what so ever but because every pair of heels gives me blisters! Isn’t this the same for almost every ladies out there? Can you survive with a whole day of high heels?

I used to only survive for a maximum of only 2 hours but just few days ago, I survived an entire night, from 5.30pm to 11.30am in my favourite pair of extremely high shoe!

My outfit that night was a black maxi dress and trust me, I don’t wanna be in a pair of flats especially when the whole D&D was at a ballroom.

And the solution to it? It is none other than Blistop by Dermal Therapy!

Dermal Therapy Blistop is a blister prevention spray that creates an invisible, elastic film-like barrier on the skin, protecting the areas where friction can occur. It acts like your second skin where it is water resistant and micro-aerated, allowing your skin to breath underneath as well.

Knowing that I would be wearing the pair of shoe for prolonged hours, I sprayed it on my ankles and at the back of my foot before wearing the shoe. You can also re-apply it as and when you think you need it. But do remember to only spray it onto clean and dry skin.

I think this spray works so much better than having ugly plasters stuck onto the leg as most of the time, the plasters are visible :/

So, thank you Blistop for making me a comfortable and happy girl that day! It just felt like I was in a pair of flats until my legs were too tired to walk that high again after 6 hours.

Just look at my smiling faces in the pictures below. No pain no gain? Nope. You can look good with no pain now!

Blistop is only retailing at $11.90 at Guardian, Watson, Unity, Sasa and other independent pharmacies 🙂

BATA Spring Summer 2013 Collection

Bata Singapore unveiled their Spring Summer Collection 2013 which includes bags and shoes. Just like their usual style, the new collection is also comfortable, fashionable and affordable.

I believe Bata is a very familiar brand to Singaporeans although they are originated from Czech Republic more than a hundred years ago.

I would say that I grew up with Bata because Bata is my only shoe shop for my different outfits when I was still a kid. I used to buy my Bubblegum toddler’s and school shoes from them.

But Bata has now changed. They are not only known for school shoes. Just so you know, their designers keep up with the trend by playing with the colours and design for every of their collection.

We were first introduced to the different styles for both men and women.

Now, let us take a look at some of their Spring Summer Collection for 2013.

I bet the bloggers who attended the event were too lost and have no idea which to pick because there were too many to choose from!

For the guys;

For formal to dinners of PU leather. One thing about PU, it is CHEAP and available in different shades.

The more premium collection of authentic leather.

For the casual.

It was love at first sight with the red one and I almost wanted to pick this for my brother (Picture don’t do justice to the shoe).

I love simplicity too.

There were quite a few bags available as well from for business to casual.

This is one of their briefcase from the collection.

For the ladies;

Likewise, new bags and shoes are available.

I kind of like the combination of the colours for the pair on the left.

Isn’t this cute?

Ballerina flats of different colours to match with the season and you can never go wrong with them.

One of the black studded sling bag which some of the bloggers picked.

My pick at the end 🙂

EXTREMELY love this pair because of it’s simple yet trendy design and it is made of real leather.

The plus point for this is that my feet don’t even hurt after walking for more than 8 hours in them despite a little height. That’s how comfortable it is!!

I can hardly find shoes with height that allows me to walk for more than 5 hours. Not that there aren’t, but it’s just rare (for me because my pain tolerance is pretty low).

I also picked a bag for my dad for his work because his bag kind of give way the other day and I saw something that he might like!! I was labeled a Daddy’s girl by some bloggers that night. HAHAHA.

A contest will be up on Bata Singapore‘s Facebook page for the look that we had created.

Remember to cast a vote for me when it is up okay? 😀 I WILL REMIND YOU!

Outfit of the day:
Top: Labellavita
Bandage skirt: Can’t remember
Watch: Aigner

The Bata Spring Summer Collection 2013 will be out in stores from 1st of March onwards. Happy shopping!
