I can’t help but feel like a vain pot recently. Not as if I wasn’t one in the past, but at least not this extreme.

I have been diligently trying out the different makeup products that were sent to me for reviews/ bought from stores and I am seriously quite crazy over lip crayons!! The Revlon lip crayons were so good! I like the packaging and the colours.

The application was very smooth as well. The downside is that you have to lightly apply it after a meal for the colour to look even more vibrant (which is quite common for other lipstains as well).

Note: I wasn’t paid to rave about it ok!

I will make sure I have it in my bag before I leave the house. I am fine without bringing the rest of the products out, but for the lips, this lip crayon is a must!!

Went back to Salon B to touch up the roots and treat the fringe again.

I am truly blessed to have Oscar, the man behind my hair for all the treatments and styles!

He touched up my roots and did sprinkled some fairy dust on the fringe. I was so tempted to cut the hair shorter but I have a shoot next month that requires long hair….

I permed my fringe!

I always regret it ALOT when I cut bangs. But when I have long fringe, I want it short because they can be quite irritating at times. I always choose to cut bangs because I like one part of the growing phase – the phase where u can comb it to the side nicely.

And my readers would know that I don’t work on Monday, therefore, Monday = pampering, chilling or full of errands day. And yesterday, was the HAIR DAYYY! I delayed the whole appointment for 3 Mondays because I was too busy.

The first thing my hairstylist, Oscar, told me was “You need to colour your roots already“.

I didn’t had the intention to touch up the roots, but oh wells, why not? Since I was free and all. I love how Oscar knows what my hair needs.

After touching up the roots, I told Oscar I wanted bangs. He’s the kind who would prefer girls with long fringe than bangs because bangs would make one look like a kid. Okay, that is what happens to me all the time.

But this time, instead of going for the usual flat bangs, he permed my bangs to look like a doll. And this was something new to me because I never had permed bangs, or rather, I have never tried perming the fringe before.

He snipped it after colouring. Welcome back~ Flat bangs!

I was quite afraid that I would look like some aunty with some “curry puff” fringe with the rollers. I was really afraid of the end result. LOL.

It was a pretty quick process. He added some cream and let the rollers stayed for 15-20 minutes before washing.

And the final result after blow drying…. I don’t think that it is obvious in the picture but the fringe was rather bouncy and curled in, giving me a very dolly look. My friend saw me and asked if I would prefer “Ang Kong Kia” or “Barbie”? LOL

Yes, the hair was shorten by a lot as well. With dry hair like mine, I think it is best to keep it short. I wanted to try shorter length but I have to let it grow until April for a bridal shoot.

That’s Oscar. Okay, he didn’t smile and that made him look fierce. But in actual fact, he is quite a chatty and funny person. One nice guy really. My hair always feel well taken care of  when I am in his hands.

Preparing yourself for CNY

I am almost done with the preparations for CNY except getting new clothes.

Firstly, I got my black roots touched up at SalonB by Oscar. He always leave me a happy girl after every session. It seems like he could do magic to my dry hair. I always leave him to decide my length/colour and he always know what I want, or what would suit me better.

Next, I had my New Year nails done at Beau Essentials by Sophia.

I click with her extremely well! She was also awarded with quite a number of awards for her nail designs and skills! You have to visit her!

I just can’t decide on my CNY design yet~

Now, I am done with these. But what about the skin?

As usual, HADA LABO SHA Hydrating Lotion! This is one of my essential skincare in my entire routine. I seriously do not know what to do without it.

My 3 in 1 doink doink!

On top of the outer application, I take Collagen powder from Fancl as well. I like how conveniently the HTC Collagen comes in sachets because I would not overtake or undertake it and I consume it on a daily basis so it actually saves me a lot of time!

I tend to drink it with iced coffee before I start my day. Remember, Collagen is extremely important for the skin. It can reverse aging and keeps the skin supple and firm! Exactly what you need before staying awake all night during Lunar New Year for all the gambling or gathering sessions.

The fastest way to get rid of tired and dull looking eyes to prepare the face for the upcoming Chinese New Year is probably by pampering myself at Astique Clinic – Vitamin C Eye Rejuvenation or for some botox/fillers to enhance the features!

Change of hair color and am satisfied!

Went back to SalonB for a change of hair color because I can no longer stand my ugly hair.

I was very confident that SalonB would give me exactly what I want. C from DRx advised me not to colour my hair unless they leave the scalp untouched. I told Oscar that and he assured me that the scalp would be safe.

Here are some photos of my old and gone hair colour.

Black on top and brown streaks at the bottom. Too untidy.

I was deciding on an ashy shade of brown but not the too extreme kind because I don’t want to end up with very dry hair as I already have coarse and dry hair in nature.

He recommended me the latest Illumina Colour by Wella.

Would really like 9/60 but I went for 8/1 instead because your hair always look healthier when it is in a darker shade. And the latest Illumina Color range gives your hair a greater shine after coloring.

The whole coloring process only took me less than 1 hour but Oscar suggested me to do a hair treatment on top of my scalp treatment.

Nioxin products were used for effects for thicker, fuller and denser looking hair by reducing hair loss due to breakage, delivery of denser looking hair, amplification of hair texture, strengthening resilience of hair against damage and removal of follicle-clogging sebum from scalp.

It is essential for your scalp to be clean and healthy so that new hair can grow healthily. Hence, I would recommend scalp treatment at least once a month.

The entire process was a very cooling treatment on the upper part of the head.

While on the lower part, of the hair, Privy was applied for the hair treatment to leave your hair silky smooth with healthy shine.

An additional 30 minutes for both treatments….

After washing and blow drying.

I was totally SOLD! I could see my hair looking shiny instead of the dullness which I brought in with when I stepped into the salon.

Also really loving the colour. Neither too loud nor too dark. The colour gave me a more feminine look.

I can totally apply a dark brown shade of eyeliner instead of black now.

I only have one stylist and one big salon to thank for making me look like a doll.

Oscar was really gentle with me and extremely skillful as he was able to give me what I wanted with his magic hands! And SalonB for always, always, making me leave the place with a smile.

My new hair sponsor – Salon B

Here I have with me is my new hair sponsor – Salon B.

Salon B is a Korean Salon based in Singapore. Most of their hair stylists are koreans.

What probably caught my attention when I first stepped in was the design and layout of the salon because it looks cosy and posh.

My favourite item in the salon. THIS! Can someone buy this home for me?!?!?!

My purpose there was to do a volume rebonding and some trimming. I had wanted to colour my hair as well but had decided to just do one chemical treatment on it first, let it rest for a month, and color it during the next visit 🙂

We have been to salons for haircuts countless of times. But this is the first time that I was given an eye guard to protect the eyes so that no chemicals or hair would come in-contact with my eyes or skin.

I felt pampered and well taken care of.

Washed, Blowed dry and then cream + heat for 20 minutes.

I couldn’t feel much different at first as it was not my first time doing rebonding until…….

Until the two assistants came over to dry my hair and the director came back to me.

She told me to touch my hair and feel the difference. She haven’t even brush or comb the hair yet but it was already super smooth. I swear!! And then, I began to realize what makes this salon stands out more!

I went on to ask her what cream and brand was that but I think she replied me in Korean. So I assumed that it was a Korean brand. But I’ll ask her again during my second visit later this month.

After drying the hair, the director went on to straighten the whole head of hair before applying the second cream to stabilize the hair. It was then washed off after 15 – 20 minutes or so.

I realized that the salon carries Wella products as well. 🙂

As I had ugly shoulder length hair (due to the previous sponsor who suggested me to cut my hair short and I couldn’t stand the growing process as the hair was ALWAYS in a mess during the growing phase), it was very hard to maintain so I could only tie up my hair everywhere I go, which is also why you don’t see much photos of me with my hair let down.

But now, I am confident of letting the hair down as they look shiny and smooth. I don’t even have to brush my hair after shower/ when I wake up in the morning as they are never messy and never tangled.

I can’t tell or explain how pleased I am with my hair right now. Seriously, I could only have dry and thin hair.

I would really like to thank Salon B from the bottom of my heart for all the good hair days that I am waking up to!!!
