Violet Dream Luminous Make Up

Violet Dream Luminous (VDL) is an international cosmetic brand which was founded in 2012 by The Color Lab of LG Household and Health care. They guides women and give specific answers to actualizing and living their colorful dreams.

Latest technology was adopted to create trendy makeup colors that enhances a woman’s natural beauty, making you as alluring as you can be. It had collaborated with renowned makeup artist, like Wendy Row and iconic brands to creatd trendy styles like Guylian and Hotel Gansevoort series.

They have a wide range of products from make up, to nail polishes, to skincare and even to fragrance.

Concealer to Liquid Foundation to Primer. I tried the primer and I really love it.

I love the matt feeling it leaves on my skin for a smoother application of makeup.

Festival Eye Shadow is also from one of the latest collections – Festival Love Mark Series which is available from 29th June 2013 onwards.

The theme creates a single-pattern makeup look which can be completed through a story.

The series consists of 3 product categories; Festival Lipstick Love Mark, Festival Mineral Eyes Love Mark and Festival Mineral Blusher Love Mark.

Festival Lipsticks. Take note of the heart in the middle. Soooo pretty.

Like I said, they carry a lot of products so they have a wide colour range of nail polishes too, and in a cute glass bottle – Sexy Lips.

My favourite product is probably this Tint Bar – Lip-Stain exclusive line.
I’ll post a review/look on this as soon as I have the time! 🙂

This line carries a variety of lip tint and stains that differ in colors and viscosity. Inspired by vacation experience, products are specially designed to deliver refreshing fruity sentiments throught colors, scent and packaging.

Have you heard of gradient lips but can’t do it well? Well, this could be one of your solutions!

Other than the introduction of the varies products they carry, a makeup demo was also done by the makeup maestro Clarence Lee.

Yup, he’s holding to the Primer! I might visit the store and get one myself 🙂

The liquid foundation is neither thick or greasy. It gives the skin a silicon feel.

According to Clarence, the mascara is the BOMB!

Eye Bomb from the Eye Makeup exclusive line which creates deep, powerful and intense eyes. Set to add definition and explosive depth to the eyes and offers a range of ultimate eye-opening weapons. Now you know why it’s called eye BOMB.

Ended the whole launch with tiny desserts and food served on a tray. I bet the food was specially customized for this lovely event. Too cute.

This July, Crabtree & Evelyn launches an entirely new Hand Wash Collection, available in 8 fragrances and colours.

Crabtree & Evelyn draws upon its hand-care expertise to create a new collection of conditioning hand washes. Formulated to gently cleanse and condition the skin, each hand wash is infused with a delightful fragrance to transform a simple ritual into an experience.

Each hand wash is luxuriously lathering and pH balanced to be gentle on hands.

The new Hand Wash Collection comprises of the following fragrances:

· Citron, Honey and Coriander
· Pomegranate, Argan and Grapeseed
· Rosewater

I received Iris from them and my my, Crabtree & Evelyn’s packaging never fails.

The exquisite scent of orris from the root of the iris flower is blended with precious sandalwood, sensuous patchouli and a hint of fresh vetiver in this vibrantly fragranced hand wash. It is formulated with conditioning iris florentina, peony, white magnolia and elderflower extracts.

After washing the hands, it is always important to moisturize so accompanied by the handwash, comes an Ultra-Moisturising Hand Therapy 100g ($33).

The award winning Ultra-Moisturising Hand Therapy is formulated with conditioning ingredients to moisturise and soften hands. It also improve skin barrier function to reduce moisture loss for softer and more hydrated skin.

All in one. Thoughtful aren’t they?

Nails. We all love pretty nails don’t we?

How about pretty, cute and lasting but cheaper than the market rate?

Play Nails by Sophia is a home based salon located in Bukit Timah. Basically, it is quite accessible from Town and various parts of Singapore since it is quite centralized (or just slightly to the western side). Psst: It’s free parking as well. So drive up there and don’t worry about paying extra for the parking fees.

I told Sophia that I wanted some cupcakes and pastels and this was what she did for me.

MAGIC! MAGIC! MAGIC!! So cuteeeee!

Trust me, this set would have cost you at least $75 for the nail art itself at other boutiques. Say if $75 for the design and $40-50 for the classic gel session? Total cost would be more than $100 or so!

But look at her prices below. She’s only charging $80 for the full set, inclusive of the classic session. If you think it’s too fanciful for you, you can go for the design on the left. There were shimmering details at the top and it only cost you $40 if you’re a reader of mine!

If you really want something really simple, just like a single colour, it’s only $30!

Yes, only $30 and it can last you for months.

The French Manicure is perhaps the most attractive one here. A classic French Mani outside would cost you between $25-30. But her Gelish French is only at $40.

Are you willing to pay for a $25 Classic which can only last you a week or a set of Gelish French to last you for at least 2 months? I would pick the latter. And I like french.

Just so if you think it’s cheap enough already, look at her mother’s day promotion.

2 Sets of Single color = 2 Sets of Mani and Pedi for only $130. What a steal! Take this opportunity to pamper your mom perhaps? 🙂

Crabtree and Evelyn; Somerset Meadow

This light green, fruity-floral scent of Somerset Meadow is an aromatic impression of a beautiful English landscape in bloom.

The products are really as pretty as they look in reality.

Likewise for the scent, sparkling bergamot and dew-kissed blackberry buds are refreshing and tart. Its juicy sweetness perfectly balanced with the bitter greens of ivy and fern. A heart of white blossoms, water lily and earth geranium flourishes as if warmed by the morning sun. The scent of leaf, grass and fragrant petals are suffused by creamy clouds of musk, whilst willow and moss tether.

How pretty do they sound?

We were welcomed by white and greens that night and my, the decorations were so so pretty.

Take note of that little silver bottle at the bottom left.

It’s actually Perfume Gel – Convenient and easy to use, it provides an exceptionally long-lasting fragrance and has a wonderfully luxurious texture. Although it’s gel based, it is not sticky at all after application.

12ml at $25.

The Somerset Meadow Collection also features an Eau De Toilette, Bath and Shower Gel, Body Lotion and Hand Therapy. Not surprised, they are also stowed within beautiful packaging, illustrated with the pretty fruits and flowers of the meadow.
