My skincare regime
CNY is over (for me) and Valentines’ Day is next. How good do you want to look on Valentines’ Day is pretty much dependent on how good the skin is. You need good clear skin to complete the whole look other than just putting make up on. And this starts from the very basic – hydrating your skin, feeding your skin well. I have very basic skincare routine and this is definitely for people who are as lazy as me! Morning: 1. Lotion – Hada Labo Super HA Hydrating Lotion 2. Super Hyaluronic Acid – Hada Labo Moist Essence EX 3. Hada Labo UV I always start my day by…

Deep Hydration for the Skin at Astique
MFP has kindly arranged for a pre-CNY facial for me at Astique Clinic by Dr. Matthew Yap. Cold weather means flaky skin for the dehyrated skin. Hence, more hydration booster would be needed to keep the skin bouncy and radiant. My last facial was also probably more than half a year ago, so why not! Other than their in-house scrub, these were the products used that day – ESTHEMED, which are made in Korea. Well, we all know that Korea is the place for good skincare products! I enjoy doing facial a lot because it is extremely comfortable, relaxing and at the same time, better skin. The benefits of this…

Taiwan Beer Package Giveaway
Chinese New Year is just around the corner and what’s CNY with Bak Kwa, goodies and drinks right?! We have to feast yo! I had never liked beer because of the bitter taste. Although hard liquor taste even worst, but I would settle for hard liquor anytime than beer because I can mix them with sprite. However, I got to know about Taiwan Beer (mainly fruit beers/sweet touch) from the Beer Fest in 2011 and fell in love with their Lychee Beer and White Grapes Beer. Not only the alcohol content is low, but taste extremely sweet and refreshing as well! My dad is a vivid fan of dark beer…

Laneige – The New and The Improved
I was tied between 2 events but had decided to skip one of it and head over to Laneige because it is one of my favourite makeup/skincare brands! I was filled with awe when I attended the launch of their new makeups: Click here to read This time, they have came out with new and improved products in addition to their White Plus Renew Line and 6-in-1 BB Cushion! The technology behind the improved formula is the Melacrusher Technology. To explain it in layman, a cell self-purification systems is accelerated to regulate melanin and waste materials that contribute to dull skin and pigmentation, while inhibiting melanin formation and transfer. This…

Post Botox/Fillers – 3 months later
Attended my cousin’s wedding dinner in Dec and my relatives thought I slimmed down a lot because my face looked so much smaller/sharper! I told them “No way! I put on 2kg since the last time you guys saw me. The fats are now well hidden and my face look smaller because of botox!” Yes yes, I was referring to the session which I did at Astique Clinic 3 months ago. http://maybelinesim.sg/2013/11/26/my-1st-experience-with-botox-and-fillers/ And I can have a prominent chin at the same time thanks to the chin fillers done as well! Dr. Matthew told me that botox and fillers can last between 6 months to a year and I am…

of floral and make ups // marriage
I like floral prints. I think they actually make a girl look more demure 🙂 June is going to be an awesome month for me because I’ll be out of the university by the first week of June and I am going to be my one of my cousin’s sisters for her wedding in the second week. Looking forward to the Hen’s night. This is my first time! Lots of people around me are getting married/applying for flats. What kind of age group do you think is the most appropriate to be planning all these? I am really not as young as I look but not of marriage age yet…

How I keep my relationship going
I have learnt a lot from this relationship, or rather, this boyfriend. We haven’t been together for exactly VERY long (only a year plus). I had my high and low in this relationship. I went from 48kg to 42kg and back to 44kg (now) HAHAHAHA. I don’t mean the fluctuation of my weight actually. We had huge quarrels and our fair share of difficult times although we are not exactly together for a decade yet. Through these downs, we have both learnt to be more understanding and forgiving. But the most important thing that I had learnt was to be less “sticky”. I am not kidding, I was VERY sticky.…
