Strongbow Cider
WOOHOOOO. My kind of alcohol is definitely not those hard liquor, beer or wine. My favorite has got to be cider. I like cider because they are sweet and refreshing. I have my favorite flavors from different brands. I was recently introduced to Strongbow! after being more than 10 years in the market. The world’s leading cider brand is launching three new flavors with a glossy new 330ml bottle packaging. I would usually pick berries over apple because some apple ciders can be dry and Strongbow specializes in apple ciders. So I thought, why not give it a try? I gave all three flavors a try and my favorite was…

High tea with Mariette
Other than baking pineapple tarts during the previous weekend, J and I went for a high tea session with Mariette 2 weeks prior to the baking session. It was held at MEDZS and we had cakes and tea that afternoon. The cakes are actually frozen cakes. Frozen cake can taste as good as fresh cakes and some can taste even better. You can decorate the cakes with any toppings with the cakes. Decorate them and serve them prettily to your guest at home! YES, the cakes in this picture are all the cakes Mariette is currently carrying. They have 4 different cakes currentl – Molten lava cake, Double chocolate cake,…

Cafe Hunting with J
Here in this post is Food For Thought. J brought me there for lunch with his sister. This guy took half day off just to accompany me before I fly off to Taiwan for 8 days and because I don’t work on Monday. We went to Food For Thought. The service was good but the air-con was faulty that day so it was kinda humid even though we had the outdoor seat. It was still quite empty during lunch hours, I guess not much people working in the central can fork out 2 hours for a slow lunch at a cafe. Food wise…. The serving of the breakfast was huge,…

Saboten at 313 Somerset
Yayyy. I always visit IMM for Saboten but now I can have it at 313 Somerset too!! Most events are held in town so it would be a good place for an after-event catch up with blogger friends! J and me dined at Saboten before we got together. Heh. Like the other outlets (other than IMM), you can have free flow of greens. I also love their specially imported rice from Japan. Let me show you what they have on their menu (part of it) before showing you the promotions! To celebrate the new opening, you will be able to find Iberico Loin Katsu, Fried Jumbo Prawn and few grilled…

Momiji Collagen Hotpot Buffet
Holy Holy ladies! Whoever is crazy over collagen have got to visit Momiji as……. Momiji Shabu Shabu is now introducing Singapore’s first and ONLY collagen hotpot buffet!! I don’t think I need to elaborate on the benefits of collagen. Tell me, who doesn’t know that collagen is good for the skin?! The soup base is made of collagen pudding – the culmination of 6 hours of simmering kampong chicken. The taste was a little bland at first but this is due to different preferences. You can top it up with Himalayan Pink Salt yourself if you like it saltier. Ladies would generally prefer it to be bland while the guys…

Get stuffed with Pezzo!
We felt like tourists that evening.. Why? Because we boarded the river cruise boat and emerged ourselves among the night scenery of Singapore River. Of course, we were not there to pretend that we were some tourist…. It was for the launch of the latest delicacy creations from Pezzo! This is probably my third event with Pezzo and they never fail to create that anticipation for us. First was driving the Lambo and now the river cruise. This time round, two new flavours were created – Chicken Rendang Pizza and Singa Laksa Pizza. This is specially created in conjunction with Singapore 49th birthday. Pezzo pizza is value for money because…

Honestly, I don’t know any buffet that is Halal because I am a Chinese. Having said that, I wouldn’t mind trying one!! I used to have issues with finding places for buffets with my Muslim friends until I met 1 Market. 1 Market is opened by Chef Wan, the famous Television Chef of the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards 2009 and Tourism Malaysia’s Culinary Ambassador. Hari Raya is approaching, so for the month of Ramadan (28 June to 27 July), Chef Wan will be whipping up dishes from around the world for all his foodie fans!! Yayyy to all the Muslim (and non Muslim) friends! You can get to try the different…

The Royal Mail Restaurant & Bar is housed within the culturally rich Ascott Raffles Place and serves modern interpretations of Classic British Cuisine where Roasts and Prime Rib take centre stage. My Ramen Diary
I am a fan of ramen and I haven’t been to Japan before to try out all the authentic ramen restaurants there. Have been ramen hunting for the last few weeks and I think I have just found my favourite ramen place! My initial favourite ramen place was Keisuke Tonkotsu King at Orchid Hotel and Men-i-chi ramen which is easily available at Nex, Jurong Point or Yishun. I have two more favorites added to my list. I chanced upon Bari Uma Ramen by accident and decided to give it a try since it was raining and there was nowhere I could go without an umbrella. I had Ajitama-Uma for $15.…
