SkinnyMint 1st Birthday!

James fetched me after work for a party. But what party? Look at the color we are in! Mint~~

Yup yup, we were dressed in Mint for SkinnyMint’s 1st birthday bash!!

Congratulation SkinnyMint!!

SkinnyMint is a teatox where you can still maintain you diet and enjoy the effects of the tea which is made up of all natural ingredients to help achieve your health goals.

I don’t dink it everyday because I do not need much detox but I drink the tea whenever I feel constipated and bloated. The results is promising and so far so good for me.

The tea is available in 14 Day Starter pack ($37.90) or the 28 Day Ultimate bundle ($69.90).

We were quite early and it was my first visit to Lantern. James was telling me how good the food at Lantern was and the lucky us managed to try some that evening.

Most of the people were dressed in Mint as well.

I am usually the quiet kind so luckily I had James with me. He spoke to the boss of SkinnyMint for quite a while and I must say that he is really a funny guy.

There was also cake pops in shades of white and green. So princessy.

Because the view was too good, I couldn’t resist taking more pictures.

But my favourite picture of the entire album was this.

Thank you for having us and for the lovely goody bags 🙂

May SkinnyMint grow bigger and stronger!

[James] My Surprise-ful 2014 Birthday !

Author: James

The December baby Me was supposed to be due in Jan but I decided to pop out earlier to see the world on the 30th Dec.

So yup! That pretty much summarized the reason why i always have to wait so longggg for my bday to come ! But this year’s wait was all worth it for all the fun & surprises that my girl planned for me!

M took leave from work for my big day, even to the extend of utilizing “saved up” leave! Was touched knowing this till we started my birthday eating Cai Png under my block (-,-”)

But soon enough she make it up as we head out shortly!

Our outfit of the day:

Her clothes was kinda crumpled because we spent almost 3 hours in the cinema & I guess she was busy tossing around in the chair after complaining the Hobbit was just too draggy (but nice)!!

*ok fine fine! Brownie points for companying me to complete the triology. In 3D somemore!*

Mine was alright & the rayban made me look way cooler than the 3D specs we had!

..& how can we missed out the Bday Wefie of the day!

After movies, we head down to the highly-raved Mezza9 restaurant at Hyatt Hotel for dinner! Got my biggest surprise of the day due to our first time being there! Spot any difference in my outfit ? (*hint*: Look waist down!)

The restaurant is so atas till the restaurant wouldn’t let me in without a proper long pants! So they handed me one & there you have it: Me in my SUPER DUPER oversized pants! LOL!

But the experience at Mezza9 was far from bad! At least the food & services make up for the initial “surprise”!

Had a hearty Mezza Meat platter (above) while M sticked to her favourite carbo regime (below).

How can bday go without pressie right?

M bought me something very practical & I use it every single day since that day! Shall keep the present a secret but you can check out my IG to spot what it is! 😉

Next, came the cake which I also got a surprise! Simply because i had TWO unexpected cakes !

Cake #1:

My sweet friend, Dil whom also helped me booked the restaurant, actually secretly got the staff to prepare this for me (together with an embarrasing Bday song singing by the waiters & waitresses)!

Cake #2:

This one came from M whom secretly planned with my godsis to bring it over during our dinner! Hence, the presence of my godsis was also a surprise itself! So now, you know how sneaky M can be!

PS: Thank you Brand Cellar for the lovely famous rainbow cake from MEDZS!!

And not forgetting the Miam Miam surprise as well!

Was having our food tasting event at Miam Miam, enjoying some of my favourite food that night..

..& the not to be missed Spagetti..

..& just when i thought i was just having our regular food tasting experience at Miam Miam!

This happened..

Conclusion: I must say M is a pretty good surprise planner! She keep bombarding me with surprises after surprises! Making my 2014 Bday a ‘Surprise-ful’ & memorable one! ><

As much as i had lots of wonderful presents this year from all my lovely friends, i thought my bday wishlist 2014 would not be completed without this. Something to reward my ownself after that whole year of hard work: The Panerai 112!

Also part of my new hobby! Collecting luxury watches which also serve as a good investment tool! Furthermore, I always believe you must learn to reward yourself before you will be motivated to work even harder to attain more successes!

Thoughts for 2014 Hatchday: Simply there is nothing more i could have asked for!

In case you were wondering what wish i made this year? That is to have every year’s bday like this! Simple yet fulfilling & most importantly, in the company of my loved one!

Lastly, taking this opportunity to also thank Dr Toh, Zi Yuan, Kun Xiang, William & Kiehl gang, Joanna & Hubby, Dil, Lippy & my colleagues in Allergy & Oncology team for your lovely gifts & cakes (which gained me a few kg)!

Birthday Surprises from J

I must comment that this guy is pretty sweet when it comes to surprises. He actually did not want to reveal where we would be going but because I had to bring some stuffs along, he had no choice but to reveal one of the destinations – Adventure Cove.

He has got very ugly handwriting :X but cute terms.

Before adventure cove, he brought me to Marina Mandarin Aqua Marine of breakfast. As there was a buffet ongoing, we had our breakfast at the Atrium Lounge where we were served by a manager of excellent services and a waitress whose standard was a far cry from the manager. She spoilt my morning by giving us an extremely black face when we were ordering our food and ended with no smile or “thanks”.

Then, our food came. I ordered scramble eggs for my eggs but sunny-side up came and she told me that they are scramble eggs!! Like hellllooo? If you, China Lady, are working in the tourism industry, I would expect you to understand a fair bit of English?!?! She even argued that the orders were right until J demanded her to change. She probably looked down on us because we weren’t in suits and ties as we were going for a swim later (I can’t help feeling this way).

Food on the other hand was good. Golden crispy hash browns, fresh greens and fresh farm eggs cooked in different ways.

J’s favorite Seafood pizza where we brought half of them to the cove with us because we were WAY WAY too full~

A little cake for the birthday me.

My surprise number 2 (which I knew a day earlier as I had to pack all the clothes and bikini).

I thought it was pretty similar to Jurong East Swimming Complex where they have the same Wave Pool, Lazy River and slides (although the slides at JE were smaller).

Until we went to Rainbow Reef where we were allowed to snorkel with all the fishes!! I thought the pool was only going to be 1m-ish deep and were wondering why the need for life jackets until I stepped in.

I couldn’t swim and the pool was very very deep. More than 2m for sure. So I struggle like mad during my first try because I couldn’t maintain myself. LOL. I find it hard to move forward or breath. I drank quite a fair bit of the water and it was super salty!!!!!

When I finally got used to breathing through the mouth, I went for another 2 more rounds with J leading me to move forward (because again, I couldn’t swim). I tired to take pictures but it was either too blur or failed. I think I might consider getting a go pro soon.

We got so tired so we went to try out all the other slides and then back to the “lazy river” again.

A good 4 hour+ was spent at Adventure Cove. Would definitely be back again next time (hopefully with more friends!).

My 3rd present was the sweetest.

Other than the note he wrote, he also printed out our picture and made me look for the missing piece (after answering 3 questions of his). The missing piece comes together with my 4th present (will be revealed later).

The fifth present was a surprise dinner with my friends!

He kept telling me it was a one-to-one dinner only because he wanted some time alone on the special day and no one would be free on a Monday evening either.

My fourth present is still a mystery. It is something I wanted from damn long ago and I am still waiting for it’s arrival (should be arriving few days from now).

2014 is currently one of the best birthdays EVER! Thank you B!

Make a Guess. Whose’s 15th birthday party is this?!

It’sssssssss ZA!!!!!

ZA has been a well-loved brand among women who love fuss free, simple yet fun beauty products.

My first foundation was ZA and to date, it’s still ZA 🙂

Through these years, they are awarded with numerous awards and accolates and this year, they will be celebrating their 15th anniversary!

And on this very special occasion, they will be bringing us a limited edition foundation case as a special tank you to their users for spending 15 awesome years with them.

The case is designed by a freelance illustrator born in Tokyo. She has worked with Anna Sui for T-shirt designs and her work has also appeared with magazines such as Vogue Italia and Vogue Girl Korea.

The inspiration for the case drew from the ZA girl who is always brimming with energy and love to be seen in all the hottest parties in town. And on this special day, she gathers all her girl friends, dress up and indulge to celebrate with cakes and not forgetting a class of bubbly for her favorite brand’s 15th birthday.

Look flawless, poreless and perfect in all party pictures with perfect fit two way foundation. Formulated with water holding collagen and hyaluronic acid, it pumps your skin with moisture keeping it well hydrated all day long. The SPF 20PA++ shields you from harmful sunrays in the day while pore less power and oil control powder keeps you looking fresh and matte.

Cute props were provided for us to camwhore. Look at the little hat, specs and tie!
