Cafe Hunting with J
Here in this post is Food For Thought. J brought me there for lunch with his sister. This guy took half day off just to accompany me before I fly off to Taiwan for 8 days and because I don’t work on Monday. We went to Food For Thought. The service was good but the air-con was faulty that day so it was kinda humid even though we had the outdoor seat. It was still quite empty during lunch hours, I guess not much people working in the central can fork out 2 hours for a slow lunch at a cafe. Food wise…. The serving of the breakfast was huge,…

Movie Review: Kung Fu Jungle (一个人的武林)
Before I left for Taiwan, I brought J along for a movie review – Kung Fu Jungle because he likes action packed movies and which Chinese haven’t heard of Donnie Yen? Donnie Yen is one of the best Kung Fu movie star around!! Even my dad loves his movies. This movie will blow you off because of Donnie Yen’s swift moves and twisted plots. At some point of the movie, I can’t tell if he is the bad guy or the good guy. You know a movie is good when you get all caught up with the suspense and thriller. In the movie, Donnie Yen was serving his sentence in…

How far would you go for coffee?
What is your favourite coffee? For me it’s white coffee! I am a huge fan of coffee so I drink all kinds of coffee but I am more biased towards any coffee with milk. What about George Clooney? Clooney and Jean Dujardin (his Monuments Men co-star) favourite coffee are black! In case you missed it, the video below shows how Clooney has more than met his match in Dujardin as he is outwitted in his quest for a Nespresso coffee. Watch the video it see how much they would go for coffee! “I enjoy the humour behind these Nespresso campaigns and had great fun working with George Clooney on the…

Taipei Day 3
Day 3 was pretty boring (since we covered most of the famous shopping areas). Day 3: Long Shan Temple, Xi Men Ding, Hotel (rest for 2 hours), Shi Da Night Market and then back to Shilin Night Market. Outfit of the day. I was very very hungry cause I skipped the hotel’s breakfast so I grabbed a Pudding Bread nearby first. They have interesting and nice bakeries! We went to visit the famous Long Shan Temple and had lunch at that little village place. Ordered 2 You Tiao and my god, they were as hard as potato chips. The temple was crowded and the people at the village were quite…

Video Shoot with Lee Cooper
Did a shoot with Lee Cooper for a social media video about a week ago and I got to keep the clothes that I picked. Yay. Can’t wait for the video to be out too. I was so tied between the denim jacket or the soft jacket. Yup, my ultimate choice was the soft jacket because it is much lighter and practical. But I must say that I love the denim look too!! Loving the mint coloured sneakers as well. I wish I could have it red and mint. One side of each. Lol! You guys know that I am still overseas and Singtel Easy Mobile Plan allows me to…

Taipei Day 2
Woke up early for the hotel breakfast (but it was a disappointment). To be honest, I don’t each much when I am in Taipei because of the differences in taste. Their food seems to be either too salty or too oily. It is always on the extreme side. I avoid street snacks due to the oil issue that was reported in the news recently. (Having said that, my parents still enjoy street food -a little) I always start my day with this shampoo-looking bottle of coffee every morning. Our plans for Day 2 were – Taipei 101, Xinyi District, Shilin Night Market. But it turned out – Taipei 101, Xinyi…

Taipei Day 1
We took the 8.30am flight and reached Taoyuan Airport at 1.15pm. By the time we retrieve the luggage and all, it was almost 2pm. Cabbed from the airport to our hotel at Xi Men Ding straight. I have no idea why, when people told me that the cab fare in Taipei is much cheaper, I thought it would cost about 20-30% lesser but hell no. Our cab fare from the airport was SGD50. The distance is like our Jurong to Changi Airport (slightly further up). It would only cost SGD25-30 for that distance in Singapore though. After checking in the hotel, we roamed around Xi Men Ding for lunch. Settled…

BOSS MA VIE Pour Femme by Hugo Boss
Know what? I think I just found my favorite scent of the year. Even the boyfriend loves it on me. I am a very fussy person when it comes to scent because it is something I use almost everyday. I never liked anything too musky or overpowering. When I first heard about BOSS MA VIE, the new fragrance for women from BOSS Parfums, I thought that it is going to be quite musky because BOSS can be quite manly. But then again, I gotta admit that I am quite a sucker for designs and I love how exactly the bottle look, I feel like…… I really want to own one.…

Back at Black Hair Salon
Black Hair Salon has a new outlook and I am totally digging the new look of the salon!!! Other than the look, the entire salon stays the same. The friendly family (staffs), boss and services!! It is just so hard to find a salon that I really really love and would go back again and again. The full length mirror is an ideal mirror for any selfie before/after any hair services! Hehe. Because the birthday month is in Nov, so I wanna pamper the hair by not doing any damage to it. Anthony recommended me to do a scalp treatment to cleanse the scalp thoroughly. Other than cleansing the scalp,…
