Review: Styling our hair with ghd styler, good or no good?

I am not new to any flat irons or curling tools for the hair. In fact, if I put all my styling tools together, I think I may have more than 10 easily! This is because I find it hard to curl my hair with a flat iron when I have long hair. And now that I have short hair, I will always reach out for flat irons. I also like to explore the different brands in Singapore.

When I received the invite to try out ghd styler, I knew that this is one event which I should not miss because I may pick up some tips from the stylists!

I brought James a long because he would always help me with the hair at my back. I can’t seems to reach the back part always. But he was obviously more concern about his hair than mine. As a matter of fact, stylers are suitable for men as well. He followed some fashionistas in Instagram and they did some hair tutorial with a styler so he tried using them for the first time in his life!

If you don’t know, using a styler for the fringe can help volumized the fringe when you style them up!

My take on the styler:

I swear they are so easy to use. I could twist and turn and tadah, get my curls fixed in seconds. My usual curler will take me at least 20-30 seconds to get a curl done.

It heats up in just 20 seconds as well so I can save the time waiting for it to heat up!! When they told me that ghd’s tri-zone technology can reduce hair breakage and keeping the integrity of my hair color up to two times longer, I was doubtful. But they proved their words to be right after 2 weeks of using it daily! The high gloss plate also made each application smooth and effortless. It seems that I can skip going to the salon to style my hair on some days!

But what I love is not just that, it actually has the safety function to off itself after 30 minutes. FYI, just 2 Mondays ago, I left my Brand X styler at home and I left for work. It was only during lunch when I remembered that I forgot to switch it off. I WAS SO WORRIED IF IT WILL EXPLODE OR CAUGHT FIRE THAT I HAD TO CALL MY DAD TO RUSH HOME. And true enough, it was burning like mad and of course, my dad was fuming like mad as well 🙁

Here’s us after giving a go with ghd stylers!

They have the limited edition Electric Pink Styler now. Retailing at $395 at Sephora.

You can’t see from the picture but it has pink glitters on the plate! Stunning!

We were also given a styler at the end of the event and ever since, it has been my daily hair styling necessity now. NO JOKE! You can get ghd from Sephora if you are keen!

Japanese Cosmetics – SANA

Do you want long lashes like this? Okay, I cheated here. As you can see, fake eyelashes are sticked on.

But to have it so curvy, you need to curl it after you paste the eyelashes on. Remember to also apply some mascara after the curls.

The two items that I will be review are

– SANA EX-LASH Curl & Volume Mascara ($24.90)

– SANA Powerstyle Eyelash Curler ($17.90)

I like the mascara a lot because it is not as cloggy as the other mascara outside and neither is it hard to remove despite being waterproof.

I hate it when the entire eyelid becomes heavy and black due to the application of some mascara. But for EX-Lash, the fiber are ultra light weight, so you can keep applying them again and again but you can’t feel a single thing. It can lengthens and add volumes to your lashes. I love the lengthening part!

Look at the slim glamour brush. It makes application easier and smoother. Just one brush onto your lashes makes it look more volumized and longer.

After the application, remember to curl it up to give your eyes a more dolly look. Because EX-lash contains W-Peptides, the curls can last longer as it firmly keeps the lashes upwards. Just curl it with Powerstyle Eyelash Curler and the curls can last up to an entire day. The curler has a spring that helps the lashes to curl without the need of you applying strength and the silicon rubber is specially molded in a way where it will not hurt the eye.

No lumpy lashes, no heavy lashes, no hard-to-remove mascara!

Without application:

With application:

With a single stroke, I can see obvious lengthening effect already! Of course, with more strokes, come longer and thicker lashes!

The mascara also contains 2 types on serum – Biotin Tripeptide-1 and Olio Peptide-24 which has repairing and protection properties. By the way, they also provide the lashes moisture and keeps the lashes healthy. What we want last is unhealthy lashes from all the makeup, right?

It is already available in stores if you are interested. SANA EX-Lash Curl & Volume Mascara is exclusively available only at SASA stores but you can find the curler at Tokyu Hands, BHG and John Little as well 🙂

When you spend more than $37 on SANA’s products, you can get the curler at only $3.70!! While stock lasts!
