Clinique New Skin-Changer

Clinique was all mysterious in their recent media launch as nothing was mentioned in the invitation except words like “Biggest product launch” and “Skin Changer”. They got me wondering for days!

And true enough, it was one of their most exciting product! Instead of their lotions or cosmetics, they are launching their home cleansing device – a dermatologist developed, Swiss engineered cleansing innovation that will transform skin.

I have to admit that I just got one cleansing brush from another brand because of it’s relatively cheap price as most of the cleansing brushes were priced at $200 and UP.

I don’t really go for device like this nor exfoliating the skin at home myself but keeping the face clean (especially when I apply makeup almost everyday) is a must. People who make up knows that using a remover and cleanser does not really clean the face effectively as there could be dirts, oil or skin/environmental debris lying underneath.

Clean skin is also less likely to produce clogged pores, meaning less frequency and severity of breakouts and blemishes. Clogged pores also mean enlarged pores!! Isn’t it awful to have tiny black holes all around the face?!

The Clinique Sonic System will be retailing at only $149 and it is specifically designed to work in partnership with Clinique’s custom-fit-3-step skin care system.

The over-shaped brush head was specifically designed to allow targeted cleansing in the hard-to-reach, contoured areas of the face including around the nose, hairline and chin.

I love how compact the design is as I can easily bring it overseas without having to pack this and that. Do you also know that if the device is fully charged, it can last you up to 6 months?! Oh come on.. Leave all the charging tools at home. All you need is the brush. How light and convenient! The ergonomic handle provides an easy and comfortable grip.

Look a close look and you will realize that there are two colors – Green and White.

Each colour represents a different strength.

Green – Firmer, shorter bristles that allows easier and efficient cleansing of areas that are more prone to oil production and clogging. For example, your T-Zone.

White – Softer and less firm to target the larger more delicate areas of the face like the cheeks where oil glands are lesser.

The brush was so soft that it wouldn’t even damage the soft petals on the flower which was shown that night. They even demonstrated how soft it was on a piece of tissue.

How amazing it is to be soft and yet effective in cleansing the face? I think my skin cells are might giggle among themselves!

It is waterproof, so you can use it in the shower or at the sink.

Remember to massage it in a circular motion using the white bristles on the cheeks and green bristles for the T-Zone in an up-and-down motion. For jawline or hairline, just angle the titled brush head.

You should only use it on your face for 30 seconds so the self timer automatically turns the brush off after 30 seconds. When comfortable, build up to 1 minute of use.

I would recommend you to use the brush at night because it can help to remove all the dirt, oil, makeup and environmental debris that have accumulated over the course of the day.

When your skin is clean, all the lotions and moisturizers will be absorbed more effectively into the skin. It is when you can use the Clarifying Lotion to exfoliate the skin and moisturize  with a moisturizer after that!
