How a phone call wasted >2 hours of my life

I am feeling very angsty as I am jotting this down. I was on the phone for this telecom for the last 2hours+++

Just to clarify: I switched over from Telecom A to Telecom B for their Fibre Home Broadband 1 year+ ago and I even had to pay for the termination fees for terminating  my contract with Telecom A.

Today, the mobile broadband was cut off for no reason and when I called in to Telecom B, the operator told me that I haven’t been paying part of my bills for a year.

This certainly shocked me because my dad has been paying the bills on time. He went on to check on the bills which he kept every month but couldn’t find anything wrong because everything was was duly paid for.

Then… the nightmare came. We were told that there was another address in our account which I don’t even know if the place exist or not. That was the bill the person was talking about.

1. How do I pay for bills which I don’t even know existed for the past 1 year?

2. Why should I pay for the bill when I don’t even know what it is for?

3. How did this address appear out of nowhere?

4. How did it enter my account? Does the Telecom allows different address in 1 account?

I tried to ask for answers to these questions but sadly, no one could answer me that. The line couldn’t be reconnected because the department was close.  I was on the phone since 8 and the department closes at 9 and because they kept diverting me here and there, I couldn’t get the line reconnect tonight.

This got me thinking…

1. How much does the staff actually know about their work?

(Actually I was promised unlimited data for the mobile broadband when I signed up for the bundle but today, they told me it was 500mb, then it was 1gb. And then they went on to say the missing bill for the past 1 year was for the mobile broadband data usage.)

2. Doesn’t this look like a fraud case?

(Did the person who promised unlimited data usage put the mobile broadband onto another address so that it will not be detected so soon? The internet bill went to my home address, but the supposedly said “mobile broadband” bill went to Bukit Batok and Serangoon. Two operators gave me two different addresses. I HAVE NO IDEA WHY. Isn’t it fishy?)

That’s not the worst.

The worst is, my line is not reconnected, there was no answers to my questions even after so many hours.

How I am feeling right now: Cheated, Angry, Disappointed with the Telecom….
