Hungry Ghost Ritual Movie Gala

For a timid person like me, watching horror movie is a no-no. I don’t like to watch horror movies on a date but do not mind watching it in a huge group to ease the tension. Lol.

The gala premier for Hungry Ghost Ritual (盂兰神功) was held at Great World City last week and I got to meet Nick Cheung (张家辉) and Carrie Ng (吴家丽) in real life! I think I grew up watching Nick Cheung!!

So here I am, with the usual faces you see in the previous entries! 🙂

Camwhoring before the celebrities arrive!

Although he is no longer young, but he is still as charming as ever! I still love shows with him in it!

Both of them shared their views about the movie as well as the character they played in the movie.

To add on, Nick was also the director of the movie! 盂兰神功 is his first horror movie.

The movie talks about the hungry ghost festival which is about to reach us next month. And during the festival month, spirits and ghost will be wandering around us. People who are down on luck will be able to see them.

Cantonese opera troupes are also operated on the seventh month and this movie is exactly about the opera troupes.

As mentioned, I am a timid mouse so the effects and sounds were great enough to create an impact on me. I had to distract myself by using the phone at certain scenes.

Overall: You have to watch the movie till the end to realize that there was a twist at the end of the show. I would rate it a 3 out of 5 stars movie.

The movie will be released on 10 July 2014. Are you a lion or a mouse? 🙂

See you there! XOXO.
