Syfy’s highly-anticipated Defiance has already launched in Asia on 16 April 2013!

Five years in the making and a budget of US$40m for the first season, Defiance is Syfy’s biggest and most ambitious undertaking in its 20 year history.
About Defiance:
Set in the near future, Defiance introduces an exotically transformed planet Earth, its landscapes permanently altered following the sudden and tumultuous arrival of seven unique alien races. In this somewhat unknown and unpredictable landscape, the richly diverse, newly-formed civilization of humans and aliens must learn to co-exist peacefully.
Each week, viewers will follow an immersive character drama set in the boom-town of Defiance, which sits atop the ruins of St. Louis, MO.

Just so you know, Defiance is also a game!
The creators behind this show have managed to merge both gaming and viewing aspects into one show so that their audiences can not only watch the show, but they can play it too. The sci-fi worlds interconnect so more of the characters and plot gets unravelled when you immerse yourself in both game and show.
I like the the show because of it’s story plot and because it’s a Science Fiction (I am a Science student!).
