A Hearty Affair at DC Comics Super Heroes Café – the 2nd outlet at Ngee Ann City, Orchard
Author: Alex Chua I’m having a relationship with the DC superheroes now. No kidding. I experienced the déjà vu moment when I first stepped into the DC Comics Super Heroes Café at Ngee Ann City. I found myself surrounded by my childhood wonders. From the high celling to the comfy sofa seat, every inch of wall and even the pizza oven inside the kitchen has a cool batman logo. The warm sunny light illuminates the gorgeous, very illustrious stained-glass window depicting larger-than-life Superman, Iron Man, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash and Green Lantern, posed in their heroic Justice League fashion. It was hard not to fall in love with this place.…

SCS Butter Blind Taste Test – Pineapple Tarts
Honestly, I have been eating pineapple tarts from SCS for the fourth consecutive year and I even handmade a few bottles at their event 3 years ago and last year! Look how much we have grown with the brand.. This year, instead of making pineapple tarts with the brand, I was invited for a blind taste test. The results confirmed my choice of butter – SCS Butter. My favourite pineapple tarts from the blind test were made with SCS Butter instead of the other 2. In all honesty, I had no idea the one I like was made with SCS Butter. Dynastic Treats at Myo Restobar
Think Chinese dining, and Cantonese cuisines like dim sum in a traditional Chinese-style environment immediately springs to mind. Myo Restobar, which specializes in Cantonese dishes, is hoping to change all that. With over 40 years of Kia Hiang’s heritage and legacy, the sister restaurant Myo Restobar began a little more than a month ago on the 19th floor at Oxley Tower, creating a cosmopolitan oasis in a stately office building. Boasting a scenic view of the bustling Robinson Road, the contemporary setting doesn’t really scream conventional Chinese dining experience. Instead, the restaurant focuses on uplifting and modernizing the dining experience, while keeping the price affordable. Not an easy feat considering…
