REVIEW: Labo Labo Super Keana Washing

We are not new to Labo Labo, but if you are, let us share some background information with you about the brand.

Labo Labo is Dr.Ci:Labo’s sister brand and all their products are 100% Made in Japan. The skincare products are developed by a certified group of dermatologists and all ingredients are naturally-derived.

Today, we are going to share with you about Labo Labo Super Keana Washing.

Can you spot which is the actual product among the range?

Yup. You are right. These orange-foiled tubes.

It depends on your usage but one tube (120g) typically lasts for a month (plus minus). All you need is just $24.90 for a tube of Super-Keana Washing.

Labo Labo Super Keana Washing removes dirt and blackheads effectively without drying the skin. In fact, it moisturizes the skin with its high concentration of hyaluronic acid and collagen.

It has a soft and creamy texture that is made from 100% plants-based ingredients.

4 types of pore refining ingredients – Hamaelis leaf extract, Pepperwort leaf extract, Artichoke leaf extract and Multiflora rose fruit extract can be found in the cream to issue your pores concernt.

The wash gently removes dead skin cells, leaving the skin silky and soft. Other than the generous amount of hyaluronic acid that was mentioned earlier, collagen was also one of the ingredients used in the wash to keep the skin supple and soft.

Gently squeeze 1 to 2cm of cream onto your palm, fluff it before you wash your face with your hands. You will be able to see smaller pores instantly as all the dirt was removed during the washing process.

Labo Labo Super-Moist 5H5C Review

Soft and supple skin? It is no totally impossible or too expensive to achieve in Singapore!

Ever since I tried facial done by a Japanese lady, I am super hooked to everything from Japan!

I will be sharing more about Labo Labo Super-Moist 5H5C range in this post.

If you are a skincare junkie, you would have heard about Dr. Ci:Labo long long time ago. I heard about them few years because I got some samples from sampling boxes.

Dr. Ci:Labo is from Japan and their concept is 1) Simple, 2) Results and 3) Science.

Simple– Because we use only naturally derived ingredients and nothing that the skin doesn’t need. Simplicity of use: we created “All-In-One” products so it can take the least amount of steps to complete your daily skincare regimen.

Results– You’ll see the positive results that our product delivers quickly. You can look 1, 5 or even 10 years younger.

Science– The ingredients in our skincare line are scientifically researched, tested and analyzed extensively. We use the latest “cutting edge” technology skincare ingredients to meet both consumer satisfaction and the demands for today’s professional dermatologist’s clinical needs.

What has Labo Labo got to do with Dr. Ci:Labo?

Now… They are actually sisters. Labo Labo is the sister brand of Dr. Ci:Labo.

Like the sister brand, Labo Labo is also developed by certified Japanese dermatologists and 100% Made in Japan.

Super-Moist 5H5C range has:

  • Labo Labo Super Moist W-Washing ($24.90)
  • Labo Labo Super Moist Lotion ($29.90)
  • Labo Labo Super Moist Gel ($34.90)
  • Labo Labo Super Moist UV Cream ($29.90)

If you are wondering what 5H5C stands for, it means 5 types of Hyaluronic acid and 5 types of Collagen.

The range is free from fragrance, has no artificial coloring, no mineral oil and paraben free.

It is also the first products of it’s kind in Japan to have this powerhouse of beautifying ingredients.

The entire range will cost you only $119+. I will also be doing a gift away for the entire range on 8 April to 15 April in my Instagram (@maybelinesim) so follow me for more updates!

I am quite amazed with W-Washing because it actually combines the 2 stops of make up removal and facial wash in a single product, not to mention, a single step! YAY for all the lazy people, including myself!!!

It foams easily as it is a foaming cleanser but it does not dry out the skin too much as it has a cream base. It keeps the face dewy and moist.

The cleansing ingredients are able to effectively remove oil-soluble residue like make up, sebum and water-soluble. You will be happy to know that the ingredients are 100% plant based too.

The Lotion can thoroughly permeates the corneal layer. It is best used with Gel after the lotion.

It also contains generous amount of various beauty ingredients and is said to create beautiful skin with it. Sounds heavenly!

The texture is as light as water. You can’t even see much on my hand even though I poured quite a generous amount out. I really love lotions with light texture.

I really do love the Gel most in the entire range because it gives off a cooling sensation after every application.

With this gel, you can skip the steps of applying moisturizer, essence, brightening agent and even the make up base. Since Dr. Ci:Labo is known for it’s all-in-one. You can find all-in-one from Labo Labo as well!

Although it has a tinge of citrus scent but no fragrance was added. If you want to improve your skin’s elasticity, you should give this a try.

The UV-Cream is not only a sunblock, but a sunblock that can hydrate the skin and treat dark spots as well!

It can also repair DNA damage caused by UV rays and protects the skin from photo-aging.

Some sunblock can be thick and sticky, which can cause breakouts but this is gentle enough for all skin types.

Let me emphasize, good skin don’t have to come with a hefty price tag 😉
