NEW: adidas Originals Eyewear Media Launch

adidas has been VERY hot lately and people are going crazy over their shoes. No doubt, us as well.

Well, Singapore is summer all year round so we get to wear sunglasses almost everyday (yay!). Be excited because adidas Originals by Italia Independent eyewear is now available in Singapore! It is also Italia Independent’s first official launch in Asia. Yay! Right here in Singapore somemore! Gracing this special evening were Mr Paolo Sasso, APAC Sales Consultant of Italia Independent and Mr George Lee, Managing Director of Sin Kwang Group.

To me, a pair of sunglasses or prescription glasses is a fashion accessory and everyone knows that on my Instagram!! We had fun trying out all the spectacles and sunglasses on the event itself.

Models also did a runway showcasing the different eyewear and looks from the latest collection. Interestingly, the drinks were also served in adidas themed – blue mocktails!

We were blown off when we saw the sunglasses. I couldn’t make up my mind if I should go for the sunglasses or prescription glasses frame because you know me – I REALLY am a sucker for glasses.

I love how slick looking they are! Some of the designs also came with a tinge of retro-ness too! The metal frames are my favourite!

I love how flat they are! It makes the entire outlook even trendier. The lenses are also treated with an internal non-glare treatment so you can read quickly, comfortably and clearly without straining your eyes.

If you prefer your shades to be more sporty, they have them in plastic frames too! Suitable for guys who wants to look extra sporty. Go on, go for them!

Not forgetting the prescription frames as well. I did not manage to take any photos of the metal frames which I personally love, but I will show them to you in another post! James and I took a few looks with the frames we got already šŸ˜€

The eyewear are all pretty unisex so you can share them with your other half anytime!

Our pick for their sunglasses! We really wanted what we wore below but they were already out of stock when we were there to redeem our eyewear šŸ™ Do you trust me how popular they are now?!

adidas Originals eyewear by Italia Independent is retailing from $185 for prescription frames and $205 for sunglasses. Thank you Sin Kwang Group and Eye Trendy for bringing them in! Just so you know, they are also the sole distributor of adidas Originals Eyewear in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia!

NEW: ioRA New Year Giveaway at Wisma Atria

If you have been following me closely, I have been posting a lot of OOTD FROM ioRA and Lalu Concepts.

I love their clothes a lot because they have a huge range of clothes from work wear to basics to trendy clothes. It is literally a shopping heaven for me because they clothes are REALLY AFFORDABLE with mostly going at 2 for $29 or 2 for $39!

Look at this pair of jeans below, I LOVE IT among all my other clothes because it is only retailing at $29! Love the design and the fit!!!

When people ask me about my outfit and I told them I got the clothes from ioRA, they tend to look a little surprised because they never knew that ioRA has such trendy looking clothes now!! I am a regular shopping of ANYTHING. So I noticed the change in their clothes even way before they engaged me. I have been a loyal customer ever since.

Even though the prices are pocket-friendly, the quality is not compromised!!

My favourite outlet has got to be their pop-up store located at Wisma Atria Level 1 because it is so HUGE and SPACIOUS!!

This festive season, ioRA has collaborated with Hush Puppies and Chomel to complete your shopping experience. I would guess Chomel to complete your look with all the dazzling accessories and Hush Puppies for the man in your life to shop while waiting for you! Haha. All at Level 1 of Wisma Atria.

I brought a few friends, including my mom here to shop and none of them could leave the shop empty handed. They were so stoked at the collections and prices. You can do your Chinese New Year shopping here already!!

Look how spacious the store is. I am sure your shopping experience will be a good one because you can take your time to pick and try out the clothes instead of squeezing with the crowd outside.

They have new collections bi-weekly so do pop by their store as and when you are free!

I love their knitwears a lot so it is not surprising to see me posting about their knitwears šŸ˜› The material is so softtttt and huggable!!

Let me show you some of my outfits that I got from them:

Leather vest at $19 and bottom at $29. Where can you find such deals?!

I brought two outfits from ioRA to Japan and this is one of it. Don’t you love the colour of the pants?

Love the flow-y details of this dress! I am rarely seen in yellow too if you noticed!

To make you feel even better, ioRA is having a New Year Giveaway on 7th and 8th Jan!

ioRA is giving away $5 worth of shopping vouchers with every $30 spent at ioRA pop-up store located at Wisma Atria #01-11.

REVIEW: Maserati Watch – Ordered via NewFashionWatch

It’s already December in a blink of an eye and Christmas is approaching! Are you wrecking your brain thinking of a worthy gift for your Dad, brother or nephew with that dapper, stylish gentlemanly style?

Well, fret not ladies! I am here to give you some tips šŸ˜‰ As much as I do interchange between various styles on a daily basis depending on the occasions/events I attend, the preppy gentlemanly style is exactly the one I adore most.

To reward my hard work for this one year, I decide to gift myself with a watch from New Fashion Watch!

Just to share a bit on New Fashion Watch (www.newfashionwatch.com),Ā  it is a new online store that sell affordable, luxury watches of different brands. Furthermore, they are the only Singapore Online watch retailer who do not sell parallel products. All product are genuine and have a valid warranty with the respective authorized service centers! They are also affiliated to H2 Hub & New Fashion Watch store (Located at Bugis+). I believe H2 Hub is no stranger to anyone because they have ten physical shops around the island so you can feel the sense of security purchasing watch from them.

Enough said about New Fashion Watch, let me share more about my new watch! *Excited*

It is an Italian brand that is gaining popularity globally.

‘Maserati’ Watch

For those who are not well versed with supercar brands nor recognize the ubiquitous Trident logo, ‘Maserati’ is a well-renowned Italian luxury car maker. To provide you some context how expensive a Maserati car is, a typical Maserati can be priced easily above SGD400K.

The watch I have selected amidst the wide collection is the ‘Fuoriclasse’ collection in Black / RoseGold Series.

Inspired by its sporty yet elegance style, the special shape of the case mimics that of an original design with grille and bolts on the lugs. This multi-function model comprises of a 42-mm diameter steel casing with rosegold PVD finishing, contrasting against a Matte Black PVD finished bezel.

One reason I picked this design is because of its excellent colour combination and classiness! Look at how the black dial brings out the rose gold details, against which the chronograph counters stand out. Attention goes all the way down to its strap which is a black printed leather strap.

To many, a newly-launched watch series born out of a luxurious car brand might not entice them especially if they are an avid, long time watch collector such as myself. Frankly as a humble collector of Rolex, Omega, Panerai and other watches, I did not think much of owning a Maserati watch at the start. Nonetheless, the attention to detail and technical attention that Maserati dedicates to their cars is clearly reflected here in its chronograph which is the reason that moved me to go for this brand & particular design!

This watch certainly grows on its bearer. One other feature I like about this watch is its versatility.

Read on to see how I matches it to my outfits when I attend my Lifestyle events!

I can choose to look Swag & Dapper in the day….

…and look Gentlemanly Stylish at night!

Who says that one watch can only stick to one style?

In fact, I have shared multiple ways of matching this watch with my #OOTDs on my Facebook and Instagram so do keep a lookout for it!! (@James_awyong)

After owning my First Maserati watch, I am sure it is definitely not the Last!

Truth be told, my other luxurious watches are currently being ignored and I am already looking to own my next Maserati watch…..

NEW: Jack Wills Takashimaya Opening

Author: Maybeline Sim

It was as though Christmas came early when we were all at the Official Opening for Jack Wills at Takashimaya #B1-42/46. If you are wondering where their first outlet is located, you can find them at Raffles City (City Hall MRT).

Jack Wills was founded in 1999 in British and the first store in Singapore was opened in 2014.

To celebrate the second store’s opening, 10 influencers were given 5 passes to bring 5 of their followers down to join the party and and 1 lucky follower of each influencer will get to walk away with the entire outfit styled by their influencer.

Yes, that evening itself was a PARTAYEEEEE! With ciders, friends, followers, singers, and music. What is a better way to end a long day at work than a party?

Even though Christmas is more than a month away, it felt a lot like a Christmas party due to the shop decorations and clothes. Everyone seemed to be in jovial mood too!

Here’s me and my lucky follower whom I chose to style that evening. I told her to pick something of her style first so that she will continue to wear them even when the contest is over. After picking out the items she love, I proceeded to shortlist the items on her.

Who knows, we ended up wearing the same clothes! Hehe.

If you think we look cute together, please vote for us by commenting on the picture in this link:Ā https://www.instagram.com/p/BMnBQ6iBNxZ/?taken-by=maybelinesim

I hope she can win something more too!

The contest for my twinnie outfit will end on 20th November and 5 lucky commenters will get to walk away with a $80 Jack Wills Voucher!

EYEWEAR: Hirocon Eyewear @ One Raffles Place with James

Sponsored

Author: James Aw Yong

If the name ‘Hirocon’ rings a bell, it is indeed the same Contact Lens experts shop located at B2 Orchard Gateway!

Many would know Hirocon for its endless variety of contact lens of different brands and prescriptions. However, this is not the reason I am back here for. This time around, I will be making my first pair of spectacles.

So, what attracted me here? Bet you must be guessing it is the the 2 big word “FREE Spectacle” in the below image right! Well, that was at best the second thing that attracted my attention.

The first & most key feature that struck me about this shop was how neat and brightly-litted this shop is!

Very much reflecting the true blue Japanese culture of being neat & tidy to the tiniest detail, don’t you agree?

Even though the shop isn’t as spacious as the one in Orchard Gateway, it houses ample spectacles & contact lens for you to pick from.

What is more important is they have very welcoming optometrist who greeted me the moment I was nearing the shop! I was already half impressed by their right proactive attitude. In addition, the optometrists might look young but they certainly are knowledgeable. I am known to post tough technical questions not to make any shop attendant embarrassed but more of satiating my interminable curiosity. Despite this, she was able to answer all my technical questions patiently!

Unlike other optical shops where the vision testing is a long drawn process, my optometrist went through a very systemtic process. First, I was asked to fill up a card with personal details before showed into the refraction room for my vision testing.

Within the vision testing room, there was an sink and soap for customers to extract & put on their contact lenses. After extracting my contact lens, she led me through a thorough eye test to check the degree of my myopia.

This process of sorting my prescription took approximately 10-15 minutes with absolutely no discomfort. Furthermore, they are technologically-savvy; they uses a electronic screen to project the letters & numbers of varied sizes to test my eyesight instead of a paper chart.

With my prescription degree sorted out, I proceed on to pick the frame of my choice.

The Hirocon frames are stylish and I find them very fitting for Asian face shape.

Every frame has its own unique advantage but all of them has one advantage in common ; all of them are sturdy & light-weighted.

With the Hirocon spectacles, you can look smart, stylish and be relieved of any form of weights around your nose bridge.

So, what do you think? I aren’t wrong to say it fits Asian face shape stylishly right! šŸ™‚

Best of it all, this set of prescription lenses wears a very affordable tag.

One set like mine cost approximately SGD110 (Premium frame + Lenses). The less premium ones cost around SGD70+ and are of good sturdy quality too (Less Premium frame + Lenses).

If you are the kind who wish to enjoy the whole favorable experience of making a pair of affordable & stylish-looking spectacle, look no where further than Hirocon @ One Raffles Place. (More images can be seen on my IG handle: @James_Awyong)!
