Back at Astique clinic for Botox

My last Botox was almost a year ago and I can already feel the biting muscles already.

Botox Jaw Reduction is where the Botox is injected to the muscles of the jaw to reduce its size. I have an overly square face so when my jaw muscles are reduced, it will result in a smaller and sharper face.

A lot of people may get addicted to botox and keeps going back for more just to make the face even smaller. But what we want is to avoid overdoing it. I want a fuller face so how do I notice that it is time for my Botox?

Basically, I do two checks before determining that I really need it:

– Bite and feel the muscles on both side of my jaw

– The face looks bigger than it was as compared to two months back in selfie

I am back at my first clinic. Why first? I did my first ever botox in my entire life in Astique 🙂





I had a consultation with Dr. Celine before deciding what to do. Dr. Celine was very patient and experienced. She told me that I needed only botox for now. I was tempted to go for some cheeks fillers too because I want high cheeks. Haha. But I decided to take one step at a time.





No nose fillers needed because the bridge is still quite high, that’s what Dr. Celine told me. True that!





Although botox was nowhere near painful, numbing cream is still needed. I had numbing cream on my jaw area for 15 minutes.

After the numbing effect took place, some markings were made on the skin.

Not only Dr. Celine gentle with me, she was also quick and confident with her techniques. I could feel nothing because it was fast.





The nurses would tap your hand when the injection takes place. The tapping actually took away my attention because I was distracted. I would give 2 thumbs up for whoever who came up with this art of distraction!!




10 minutes for consultation if you already know what you want,

10-15 minutes for numbing cream to take effect and markings to be done,

5-6 minutes of injections and yup, you are done!!

Botox can be such a spirit booster because you feel happy when you are pretty! They say Botox can also help stop excessive sweating. I guess with Botox I can smell nicer now? 😀

If you ask me, why Botox Jaw Reduction instead of surgery? That is because of the NO downtime, NO pain, NO swelling, NON-invasive and natural results.
