Ever TIRED of having the few same old fast food like burgers & fries on your table be it at office or home gatherings?

Fret not! Thanks to Yum Cha Express, now we can have fresh, mouth-watering & piping hot Dim sums delivered to your doorsteps instead!

What is Yum Cha?

To those who are new to Yum Cha, which I believed not many as they have set up their presence for more than a decade in Singapore, they are chain of Dim sum restaurants which started off from the flagship branch at Chinatown. Following its success, Yum Cha started offering their delicious Dim sums at various parts of Singapore namely Yum Cha Garden (Serangoon Garden Country Club) & Yum Cha Changi.

So what happened during the event?

This Un-Un-Un-Unblievable inviation from Yum Cha was extended to me by my long-time buddy, William whom was also holding onto his favourite tag line board(inspired by Chen Tian Wen’s latest music video) while standing at the back (right)!

Was happy that my godsis, Joanna, could join me for this event! As a cantonese, I must say her expectations of her own Cantonese cuisine is pretty high! Even with that, the quality of Yum Cha’s Dim Sum did not fail to meet her expectation!

Back to their delivery service, this is how their food will be packed when delivered to your doorsteps..

For those containing staple food such as their signature Seafood Bee Hon or even fried rice, they are packed in these black packets.

..together with nice Yum Cha paper bag which looks perfect for presentation even when you are buying for your customers!

How about for the Dim Sums?

They are usually packed in another type of box, the microwavable paper ones cleverly inspired by the looks of typical bamboo steamer with Yum Cha Express logo on the top of the box.

Not only so, IRREGARDLESS of the number of boxes you order, they are ALL packed into a specially customized bag with an internal heating element to ensure that the food you ordered are still piping hot when they reach your door steps.

This is how the Dim sums will be presented within the boxes.

To prove that these Dim sums can be delivered warm/hot to its location, the Dim sums we had on the event day itself was actually delivered. I am glad the Dim Sum stayed warm as I am quite particular about food being placed in the open and loses its temperature.

Some of the delicious Dim sums which we had on that day are such as their Signature Deep Fried Shrimp Dumpling 鮮果明蝦角 (3pcs) – S$4.20

..but my personal favourite of the day was this Crispy Red Bean Paste with Banana 三味香酥餅 (3pcs) at S$3.80

This was something not offered in every Dim Sum restaurant and its crispsy exterior paired with its sweet interior created a fantastic tasting pleasure to the palates. In fact, Joanna and I had 5-6 of these even on a full stomach at the end of our scumptious Dim Sum lunch.

Apart from those abovementioned, the list of Dim Sums from Yum Cha runs on and I cannot possible finish writing them all in this blog post.

But to give you a short glimpse of some of the others, they have Pumpkin Yam Golden Cake, Prawn & Mango Sesame Fritter, Fried Carrot Cake, Siew Mai with Fish Roe, Siew Mai with Fish Roe, YUMCHA Prawn Dumpling so on and so forth…
