Conveniently situated on the first floor of Guoco Tower just right above Tanjong Pagar MRT station, Pura Brasa serves a variety of Josper-grilled Spanish dishes in a friendly, modern and laid-back setting.

For Tapas, the choices include Calamari Andalusian Style (satisfying crunchy with fresh squid rings), Homemade Spanish Croquettes (decent melange of chicken and Jamon Iberico) and Tuna Salad and Toast.
What we enjoyed the most is actually Josper Grilled Chicken Wings. As the restaurant originated by Josper – the internationally recognised brand of charcoal ovens – one bite and you can easily discern that the wings are grilled by a professional bbq master. Served with straw potato and aioli.
The main courses include the restaurant’s best-selling Josper Grilled Spanish Pork Ribs. Perfectly seasoned, fork tender ribs possessed that rich umami flavour from its layer of fat. This is the dish I previously tried a year ago in this restaurant and still remembers fondly.
Alternatively, go with the Charcoal Seafood Paella, a heavenly offering with generous portion of Australian mussels and tiger prawns.
Cap off the brunch session with Churros with Chocolate Sauce. While nothing surprising or special, I like the soft crunchiness of the churros and the dip is decent and homely.
