We know that a lot of places are closed during CNY and that makes dining hard because you can only settle for fast food (if your relatives’ house doesn’t cook).
This year, we are glad that Mellben Signature announced that they won’t be closed and that includes the first and second day of CNY!
However, do take note of the opening hours:
27/1/17 11.30am till 2.30pm(Lunch)
27/1/17 5pm till 10.15pm(Dinner)
28/1/17 5pm till 10.15pm(Dinner Only)
29/1/17 5pm till 10.15pm(Dinner Only)
30/1/17 5pm till 10.15pm(Dinner Only)
Normal operation hours will resume from 31/1/17 onwards
Here are some highlights of the tastings we had:
Their Peng Cai was such a delight! We had 12 pax to our table and we had some leftovers. All the ingredients were so flavourful and juicy!
Instead of Singapore’s most favourite Chilli Crab, I would recommend you to go for their Creamy Butter Crab! This is one of their many signatures! A lot of other bloggers thought that it was salted egg york at first. Mmmm.. Yummy anyway!
I am not a yam lover but I finished the entire scallop and deep fried yam. I love the crispiness on the outside! They make such a good combination!
I think their Salted Egg Pork Ribs need no introduction. It is not uncommon to see people requesting for a second helping after their first.
But I say, you can’t visit Mellben Signature without eating their Claypot Beehoon Crab. This was what made them famous and this is what people are queueing up for!
I will always ask for a refill of broth and beehoon when I am there because one is never enough. I can skip my favourite white rice for this anytime!
