You do not have to visit Korea to enjoy Andong Zzimdak (jjimdak) now!

Andong Zzimdak is also brought in by the people behind Yoogane Singapore! How blessed are we to have them so that we do not have to fly over to Korea to enjoy such delicacies!

Now, all you have to do is to drive over or take train to City Hall MRT!

They are located at:

Raffles City Shopping Centre B1-44F
252 North Bridge Road Singapore 179103
Opening Hours: 11.30 am โ€“ 10 pm Daily

With not much publicity done yet, I must say that I am very surprised to see queues outside the restaurant on a Sunday afternoon. Especially when the restaurant was only 2 weeks old when I first visited it.

Chicken lovers, feast yourself here. Most of the dishes are made up of simmered and seasoned chicken. The portions are meant for sharing so it can be really huge.

Like the menu in Korea, it is very straightforward.

There are 4 varieties to choose from:

Original Jjimak; 40.90 for 2-3 pax, $50.90
Boneless Jjimdak; $45.90, $55.90
Seafood Jjimdak; $48.90, $60.90
Mayak Jjimdak; $42.90 and $52.90

Prices on the left serves 2-3pax while the right serves 3-4 pax.

Side dishes like Kimchi and more will also be served after you place your orders.

It may look as though they are very spicy but it was alright for me. I do not have very high tolerance for spicy food.

It has a very familiar taste to Chinese Cuisine – Dark Soy Braised Chicken but with more ingredients added.

You can find green chilli peppers, potatoes, sweet potato noodles, carrots, onions, vegetables and chicken parts in the plate.

James is not a fan of carbohydrates and it was quite surprising to see him finish a bowl of sweet potato noodles. His feedback was” The noodles are really chewy and I don’t even get sick of it after a bowl”.

I prefer the Seafood Jjimdak to Chicken because I like prawns. Oh, you can order extra serving of noodles to be added into the portion if you need more. Actually the portion of 2-3 can serves up to 4 girls because I find the portion really generous! If at the end of it, you need more food, do order other dishes to try!

They serve other side dishes like Chicken Karaage, Mini Seafood Pancake and Topokki. We ordered two services of Chicken Karaage and it was gone within 20 minutes! It was crispy when served and makes a good starter.

The topokki be a main course for some. In fact, I find the topokki spicer than Jjimdak. I think having a boiled egg will help complete the meal ๐Ÿ˜›

Not missing out soju and makkoli. They make great company for Korean cuisine. The boys surely enjoyed themselves that day. Chicken + alcohol, sounds like life.

Andong Zzimbak is seriously a good place for people to hangout or gather. The restaurant is quite spacious so it can even cater to huge groups.

Thank you Andong Zzimbak for having us! I will visit you when I miss Korea! :))
