Astique – Removing birthmark on the face

Do you remember the picture above? That’s a picture taken 2-3 months ago after my botox session with Dr Celine at Astique Clinic.

I consulted her for pigmentations on the skins on the same day I did my botox.

Rather than freckles and other discolouration due to prolonged sun exposure, I wanted to remove my birthmark.

Having birthmark on the face is something annoying and it can result in low self esteem. Not only that, I have to spend extra time in the morning when I do my make up because I need to conceal it properly.

I bet you must be thinking “Where on earth is her birthmark?”

I have a small patch of darkened skin under the bottom right lips. To many, it is just a tiny patch and it can be covered up easily, but to me, it is something I hate, something I have to hide.

The nurses removed my make up so that Dr Celine can take a better look of the birthmark and recommend me the best treatment they have for removing that ugly patch.

In the end, we chose Laser Skin Rejuvenation which can also be use to treat pigmentations, enlarged pores and dull skin.

It is a non-invasive treatment that uses light energy to gently stimulate natural collagen growth, improve pores, remove irregular pigmentation and reduce fine lines and wrinkles.

Collagen production will be stimulated, and as new collagen is generated, lines and wrinkles are decreased. To remove spots and pigmentations, the laser light penetrates them and the areas are broken apart and absorbed into the skin.








The machine behind the treatment. I don’t know if the treatment sounds painful to you, but it sure did for me. Thankfully, numbing cream has to be applied 10-15 minutes prior to the treatment.





As the area was considered small, each session only lasted for 2-3 minutes (after the application of the numbing cream).

From a scale of 0 – 10, my pain score was 0.

YUP, I could feel nothing at all! So I am guessing, even if there was no numbing cream applied, the pain score may only be 2-3 at most?








I am already at my third visit and I must say that the results are really really satisfying! There was also no downtime so I can put on make up right after the treatment. Results will only start showing 2 weeks later after each treatment you gotta be patient.

It was already close to nothing but I am thinking of doing the tiny spots on the lips area too. I will probably do it during the next visit if it really affects me but as far as I am concern now, THE BIRTHMARK IS GONE!!
