What to do at Teban Place?

I love to visit heartland malls because the food items are cheaper there!!!!

James and I went to explore Teban Place – HDB Shopping Centre. There are two floors and instead of having just 1 food court – or you may call it Kopitiam, they have more than 2 eating places!

I can even find my mom’s favourite herbal soup here.

As you can see, this food court also stretches to the other end.

Also spotted another food court right next to it with quite a few stores as well. Actually you can also find the herbal soup here. People who live in the west and love to drink soup, please don’t give this place a miss.

When it comes to groceries shopping, Sheng Siong makes it cheaper too.

For example, the milk tea behind me (MY ULTIMATE FAVOURITE DRINK) is only priced at $1.40/bottle and most of the time, it is on sale for $2.50 for 2. The mama shop around my workplace priced it at $$2/bottle (gosh!!).

You can find little beauty parlor and barber around the place too.

The thing about heartland malls is that with any festival coming up, activities will be held there and residents living around the area can buy tickets and participate in the activities.

To celebrate Singapore’s 50th birthday, three activities will be held to celebrate Singapore’s Jubilee!

ONE:

Vote for your Top 50 shops at: http://www.where2shop.sg/fi10/fi10334p.nsf/w/ShopperHDBTop50FavouriteShopsContest?OpenDocument

Acknowledging that retailers at the HDB Shopping Centres addresses the needs of the residents while being an important part of the community, HDB will be rewarding these neighbourly retailers for the Top 50 Favourite Shops initiative.

TWO:

#myfavHDBmall Photo Competition

The #myfavHDBmall Photography Competition is already launched. HDB Shopping Centres form an integral part of the residents’ daily lives by being a place for leisure, shopping and community bonding. This competition aims to collect these precious moments that are captured by residents at the 24 HDB Shopping Centres.

Residents can submit their photos here (https://myfavhdbmall.com//register) and stand a chance to win attractive prizes. The winning entries will also be exhibited at 888 Plaza in 14 November 2015.

To mark the momentous year, an attempt is underway to create the largest SG50 logo made from stamps to set a new record in the Singapore Book of Records. Starting from May till end October, residents can play their part and donate their used and unused stamps for this record-breaking initiative.

To participate, residents are to “post” their stamps at the specially designed post boxes at various HDB Shopping Centres and all submissions will qualify for the Lucky Draw. A total of $2,000 cash vouchers will be up for grabs. The finished masterpiece will be unveiled with great fanfare at 888 Plaza on 14 November 2015.
