Huang Ah Ma Late Night Spa

Sponsored

Truth be told that I had not been able to sleep well nor ample recently due to developments in my career. Now I have my own team to handle & the emails that stockpiled in my inbox is enough to keep me awake for half the night! Because of this, my biological clock was pretty much screwed up & I cant seem to turn in before 1pm even if I tied to  🙁

Knowing this, M was excited when she came across this inviation to try Singapore’s First-ever Late-Night Spa and Facial Regime for Good Health – the “Imperial Night Beauty Secret Spa & Facial” ! It was said to be able to alleviate health problem & treat insomnia issues like mine! Furthermore, she knows I am always interested in health promoting activities. Thus, this couldn’t have come more timely! ><

So, we gladly accepted the invitation to review this treatment at the Oriental Spa Chamber(Huang Ah Ma) which is nestled in the middle of Mosque Street @ Chinatown! As much as this is a 24-hr operated spa, we did not arrive there at middle of the night. In fact, we reached approximtely 7pm in the evening which was the reccomended time to experience the best effects of this treatment!

Walking towards the front door, we got even more assurance as we saw familiar celebrity face eg. Li Nanxing endorsing this spa! M loved him since she was young! Being the typical Singaporean, she love those old time stars like Li NanXing and Zoe Tay. LOL.

The interior of the spa was dimly-litted but it was still obvious that it was well-decorated with a strongorient feel. More importantly, it was clean, nice scented and does not have any sleazy feel. Customers who lingered around were professional looking & well-dresssed.

Wasn’t long before their courteous receptionist attended to the both of us & they took no time to start us off in our allocated treatment. Soon enough we started the first step to our 7-step facial routine: the “Yao Yu” Foot Soak!

This foot spa was adapted from the bath regime of the women in Yao Tribe which is found in the mountainous terrains of southwest and south China. These women are known to lead illness-free life & even able to go about their daily activities immediately after giving birth. Got me thinking if our government ever find this out, there goes the 4 months maternity leave for the women here!

But NOT that simple because this isn’t any normal, warm water we soaked our feet into but one with a special blend of herbs. The herbs comprised of speranskia, acacia, turmeric and a mix of rare Yunnan herbs.

Benefits for this foot spa include opening pores thus allowing our skin to reap the full medicinal benefits of these herbs, enhancing blood circulation and accelerated sweating which aids in expelling toxin within our body effectively!

The subsequent steps include a “Back Massage” which helped us relax our body and relieve that stress from work and a “Artemisia Herbs Detox & Ear Candling” session where Artemisia herbs are placed on the navel to help us relax, detox and clear the meridians in our body.

*TCM Health Tips*

Qn: Why is it important to clear meridian blockage in our body?

Answer: Harmful materials can then be easily expelled & benefits include skin nourishment, relief of inflammation & itching, improvement to micro-circulation system & digestion, alleviate fatigue & muscle ache!

Notice there is this silver ball in the flatlay of equipments here?

This is where it come in handy for the 6th step: Musical Ball Face Massage which is one of the most noteworthy part of the facial treatment. The Musical Ball gives off a “ting ting ting” sound which is quite relaxing too.

We certainly had a very relaxing and detoxifying session with Huang Ah Ma. Be sure to visit them because they have a lot of different treatments which can help you in any way from head to toe.

They are located at 50 Mosque St, Singapore 059528. As they are always packed, make sure you call them for an appointment in advance at 1800 250 2001.
