Let me introduce you to a new guy called Nelzon. This character comes from a brand-new game application which can be downloaded for FREE on the App Store and Google Play store.
Nelzon is an anti-drug mobile game which arises from a collaboration between the Preventive Education Unit of Central Narcotics Bureau and School of Interactive and Digital Media of Nanyang Polytechnic.
This is an educational game that teaches the young audience (youth and teenagers) on the detrimental effects of drug abuse. Now that our generation is so tech savvy, coming up with such a game can help to reach out and engage more youths.
When we are young, we may be swayed to do things reluctantly under the influence of our peers. The stuffs we do may be harmful for ourselves – Drugs abuse
So what about this guy called Nelzon?
He is only a 15 year old school-boy whose family is plagued with serious financial problems. To ease his family’s concerns, he took up numerous odd jobs and is exhausted having to balance between studies and work. He feels severely stressed-out and at this critical juncture, a mysterious stranger approached him to offer drugs. He knows that drugs are harmful and that consuming drugs is an illegal act.
Now, do you think Nelzon will resist this temptation? Or will Nelzon fall victim to his Evil Conscience? The good thing here is..You get to decide Nelzon’s fate!

Some background information on the game:
Nelzon is a 2D survival runner game where players take on Nelzon’s (Avatar) role to evade and battle the Evil Conscience who constantly appears from nowhere to tempt Nelzon into taking drugs. Players will have to guide his avatar, through jumping and sliding, across 5 different game scenarios to avoid drugs and collect sufficient rewards (Coins, Books and Power-Ups) to last him through the day. The longer Nelzon survives (in days), the higher your score!
Personally, I have learnt something from the game. Nothing is easy when faced with peer pressure or temptations, but with determination, we can overcome whatever temptations coming in our way. The same goes for drugs, say no, never let your evil conscience take over you, and you will never fall prey to consuming drugs. Remember, always say NO to drugs!
The game is pretty engaging so I believe it will be able to reach out to even younger audience like the kids and they can start to learn how harmful drugs can get.
