Two new items from Vichy on my make up desk are:

First up, the Aqualia Thermal Night Spa. I love sleeping pack because they are so easy to use and I can pamper the skin by just applying a layer of mask before sleeping. It sounds so effortlessly~ I think all Singaporean should at least own a sleeping mask because of the very dry and humid weather here in Singapore, we tend to sleep in air-conditioned rooms at night.

 

 

Use this mask for a rested, radiant and beautiful skin. It is formulated with Hyaluronic Acid and Aquabioryl, known to replenish the skin with hydration and form a protective film. Essential oils are also injected into the mask to rejuvenate and erase signs of fatigue.

For people who don’t like sleeping with a mask on, you can also use this Night Spa as your night time moisturizer.

I would recommend you to mask once every 3 days for 10-15 minutes. The texture is not as thick as what it looked like. As the name says, Aqua and Aqua means water. It has a watery gel texture and gets absorbed quickly. As for fragrance wise, NOT BAD! It smells refreshing but has a little hint of herbs.

I realized that this mask works better on James than me as results were seen on his skin faster. I guess this must be due to his late sleeping habits and hectic work life. He woke up with healthier and supple looking skin after 2 weeks of application. No breakouts were experienced during the 2 weeks.

Also mentioned in the previous entry, it was one of my favourite item in the entire range and it has a gel based that is neither too sticky nor too rich for the skin.

 

 

True enough, the product didn’t disappoint me! My face looks brighter and healthier. I am currently still using it hoping to achieve flawless luminosity.

Also because I used to fish quite frequently in the past, my arms are darker than my body and my face so I am thinking of applying it to my arms as well. How pampering right? I can literally hear my arms crying for joy!!

It has a very pleasant scent, like all the other products in this range. I use it on a daily basis, both times after the essence every day and night.

Had tea with Team Vichy for their Ideal White range. Thank you Sugar (Elaine) for bringing me along!

I am so so so going to miss her when she is in confinement 🙁

Anyway, the launch was for their New Ideal White which boosts the skin metabolism to reach fairer skin.

Like any part of our body, metabolism starts to deteriorates as we age. And when the metabolism slows down, cell repair = skin repair and collagen production slows down as well. The damage can be irreversible or reversible. Dark spots, dull or yellow skin tone can also surface.

Vichy Ideal White to the rescue!!! The scientist investigated on the mechanisms of pigmentation disorders and found out that the cause of it was the metabolic flow of melanin. 3 stages to take note:

1) Melanin production
2) Melanin diffusion
3) Melanin expulsion

In a nut shell, if your cells are loaded with melanin, dark spots will be more visible and it can worsen the effects of pigmentation.

And what does Ideal White do? The new Metabolic Whitening complex works well with the 3 stages natural life cycle while targeting the other influencers of pigmentation disorders.

I have yet to try all the products yet but I am hoping to do a review on them soon.

Some of my current take of the products so far, they are pleasantly scented. I can’t describe what do they smell like but I pretty much like the scent of it.

The essence kind of a cream base but it has a watery texture and nowhere near greasy.

The Ideal White Whitening Re-Plumping Gel Cream was one of my favourite that afternoon because I love gelish products. It doesn’t look too rich for my skin to cause any breakout and offers whole day hydration and flawless luminosity.

I am very much in love with Vichy Normaderm Hyaluspot. It acts as my lifesaver whenever a pimple pops out. Hot favourite in Women’s Weekly as well!

And then later, Vichy had another new range – Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration.

I am always willing to try out products that boost hydration. Needless to say, I wanted to try this series!

Jolene from Vichy remembered how much I love the Normaderm series, she specially included 2 products from Normaderm for my skin type on top of Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration Power Serum.

Don’t you just love it when someone remembers the small details?

Another new product in the Normaderm series (for me) is the Tri-Active Anti-Imperfection Hydrating Care.

It has a cream-like texture but lightweight and gets absorbed easily, leaving a matte and powdery texture on the skin. It contains Microparticles of silica which absorbs excess sebum and help to keep skin looking and feeling fresh even after long hours and glycerin which helps to restores water levels in the skin.

Some reviews online also mentioned that the product is able to lighten acne scars.

Now….

Aqualia stands for water. So it keeps your skin hydrated all day long!

Do not ever belittle this small bottle of serum because it caters to the needs of women between 20 to 60 years old with dehydrated skin. People with oil skin can also use this.

The texture was a little greasy at first (probably due to it’s gel-like texture), but as you rub it, it gets absorbed into the skin quickly and leaves your skin smooth and hydrated. It does not leave your skin sticky at all.

I would recommend you to apply it twice daily – morning and night.

This serum is suitable for people living in Singapore (HOT CLIMATE!!) because it is light. So light that you can barely feel it. Apply it before you apply your make up base. Remember, treat your skin right first before you put on anything else!

Other than relying on skincare, remember to drink plenty of H20 daily! 🙂

Vichy Bi-White Med

It was a private session at Paris Baguette Cafe so it was pretty comfy and what’s best was that I knew almost everyone for the session that I turned up for.

I believe MOST girls want to look fair so today, the products that I am going to introduce is Vichy Bi-White Med range.

Also, do you ever feel that you have to apply a few items on your face to target all sorts of problems?

Vichy’s Bi-White Med Deep Corrective Whitening Essence ($82), and the day ($59) and night ($69) moisturisers.

The first product that we tired on was the essence. I really love the smell of this and has been diligently applying this every morning.

Bi-White Med Essence corrects up to 6 types of complexion flaws like dark spots, dull complexion, yellow skin tone, irregular skin texture, red patches, dryness and at the same time moisturize your skin.

1 application can last up to 12 hours. So you can choose to apply it twice a day – day and night.

Like the essence, both the day and night cream smells good as well.

They are rich and creamy but as compared to their other products, this product is actually quite light!

The cream contains peony and some other natural oils.

If you’re wondering what the ingredients can do,

– Peony can restore skin’s radiance and protect it from free radicals generated by pollution and stress;

– Cocktail of apricot oil, passionflower oil, macadamia oil, cariander oil and jojoba oil acts as antioxidant, hydrating, purifying, anti-inflammatory and reconstruction effects.

The night cream also has a high content of vitamin Cg.

And we were told that the night cream works very well with the day cream.

I don’t have the night cream though, but as of now, after 2 weeks of application for the day cream, I could see slight improvements on my skin already. So I guess if I want to see faster improvements, I buy the night cream to boost the effect 😀

The look really thick in the pictures but they are really light and easily absorbed, leaving your skin smooth with a floral scent.

And now, FOOD! Some of the sinful stuffs I ate that night.
